AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE VIII OF
CHAPTER 17 OF THE MUNICIPAL'CODE OF THE VILLAGE
OF DEERFIELD OF 1963, AS AMENDED
(RELATING TO LIVERY SERVICE)
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF .TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK.000NTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That:Article VIII of.Chapter 17,of the Municipal Code
ONE: of the Village of Deerfield of 1963, as amended, be and
the same is hereby further amended by adding a new sub -
section 17.8075.8 as-follows:
"17.807.8 (Non - Application) The.provis,ions of this Sub - Article 7
shall not apply to owners or operators of livery vehicles having no
place of bus.iness wi.thin the Village.of Deerfield, provided that said
owners and operators are subject to the regulatory.provisions of an
ordinance of the municipality or other governmental subdivision in
which their principal place of.business-is located and provided
further that the Village Manager determines, upon investigation, that
such.municipality or.other..unit of government actively enforces
such.ordinance and.that the,,provisions thereof are, not less stringent
than the provisiosn of this. Sub- Article 7 with respect to the type
and condition of vehicles and the maintenance thereof and the quali-
fications of the drivers or operators of such vehicles."
SECTION That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
TWO:.. herewith, are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby
repealed.
SECTION That this Ordinance shall.be in full force and effect
THREE: from.and after -its passage, approval and publication,
as provided by 'law...' .

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION That Article VIII of Chapter 17 of the Municipal

amended, be and the same is hereby further amended
by adding a new sub - section 17.807.8 as follows:
"17.807.8 (Non - Application) The provisions of this
Sub - Article 7 shall not apply to owners or operators of
livery vehicles. having no place of business within the
Village of Deerfield, provided that said owners and operators
are subject to the regulatory provisions of an ordinance
of the municipality or other governmental subdivision in
which their principal place of business is located and
provided further that the Village Manager determines, upon
investigation, that such municipality or other unit of
government actively enforces such ordinance and that the
provisions thereof are not less stringent than the provisions
of this Sub - Article 7 with respect to the type and 'condition
of vehicles and the maintenance thereof and the qualifications
of the drivers or operators of such vehicles."
SECTION That all ordinances and parts of ordinances

such conflict hereby repealed.
