O-66-03ORDINANCE NO. 0 -66 -3 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE XI AND ARTICLE XII OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF.THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD (RELATING TO THE ELECTRICAL COMMISSION) BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF•THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION That Article XI and Article XI.I of the Municipal Code ONE: of Deerfield of•1963,,as amended, be and the same are hereby further amended by striking said Articles in their entireties, and substituting in---;lieu thereof the following: "Article XI. Electrical Commission 8.1101, Electrical Commission established.) There is hereby' created an Electrical Commission.consisting of six members appointed by the Village President with the advice and consent of the Board• of Trustees. The Chief Electrical Fnspector shall be a member and ex officio chairman of, such Commission;, of the other five members, one shall be a registered profess ional�•eng,ineer, one an electrical contractor, one a journeyman'electrician.,'•one a representative of an Inspection Bureau ,mai•ntai ned by •the 'Fire Underwriters (or, if no such representative resides in the Village, then the Chief of the Fire Department), a•nd one ,representative of an electrical supply house. ('i•f there-is no person resid1na in the Village who is qualified under any one of these descriptions, the President may appoint some other person to fill such position.) Such members shall be appointed for one year.and shall serve until their successors have been appointed and qualified: 8.1102 Recommendations.) Such Electrical Commission shall recommend safe and practical standards and specifications for the installation, alteration and use of electrical equipment in the Village,desi•ghed to meet the necessities and conditions in the Village, shall recommend reasonable rules and regulations governing the issuance of permits, an:d fees to be paid; however, such standards and specifications, rules and regulations, and fees shall not be•effective until adopted by ordinance." SECTION That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in.conflict TWO'. herewith,,are, to the extent-of such conflict, hereby repealed. SECTION That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect THREE: from.and after its passage, approval and publication, as provided by law.
