AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFI ELD .
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Deerfield,
pursuant to proper notice, has held a public.hearing upon the subject
matter of a certain amendment to the Municipal Code of the Village of
Deerfield; and
WHEREAS, the said Plan Commission has recommended that the
corporate authorities amend said Municipal Code as hereinafter provided.
NOW, THEREFORE,,BE. IT ORDAINED;BY THE RRESI.DENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS,
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That the Municipal Code of Db erfie1d of 1963, as
ONE: amended, be and the same is hereby further amended,
by ,str,i king the, ,last sentence of Paragraph 4 of
Section 9.119 of Chapter 9 thereof and substituting in lieu thereof
the following:
"Provided, that the Village Manager may approve such bonds
issued by a corporate surety listed as approved by the Board
of Trustees and filed with the Village Clerk, or by a corporate
surety having,an A -Plus policy holder rating and AAAA financial
rating according to the most recent edition of Best's Insurance
Repotts, which reports are published annually by the Alfred
M. Best Company."
SECTION That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in' conflict
TWO: herewith, are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby
repealed.
SECTION That, this,Ordinance shall. bet in full force and effect
THREE: from and after its pass'age,, approva 1 and publication
as provided by law.

NOV..' THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND
BOARD OF TRUSTEES'OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK
COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That the Municipal Code of Deerfield of 1963,
ONE: as amended, be and the same is hereby further
amended, by striking the last sentence of
Paragraph 4 of Section 9.119 of Chapter 9 thereof and substi-
tuting in lieu thereof the following:
"Provided, that the Village Manager may approve
such bonds issued by a corporate surety listed

with the Village Clerk, or by a corporate surety
