RESOLUTION NO. R -17 -7
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING SERVICES
AGREEMENT FOR FEDERAL PARTICIPATION SUPPLEMENT #1
FOR THE
RESURFACING AND RECONSTRUCTION OF DEERFIELD ROAD
(PROJECT NUMBER M -9003 (854))
WHEREAS, the Village is the lead local public agency for Project Number M -9003 (854),
which is a project for the resurfacing and reconstruction of Deerfield Road for a length of
approximately 2.39 miles from the Metra viaduct to U.S. Route 41 in the City of Highland Park,
(the "Project "); and
WHEREAS, the Village of Deerfield is the lead agency for the project and is responsible
for construction management, and work will extend into a second construction season. Such costs
are initially the responsibility of the Village, and are to be reimbursed through agreements with
the State of Illinois and the Lake County Division of Transportation.
WHEREAS, Construction engineering services include, but are not limited to, field layout,
daily supervision, and documentation of work completed.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS,
in the exercise of its home rule powers, as follows:
SECTION 1: That the above and foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated and made a
part of this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
SECTION 2: The Construction Engineering Services Agreement Supplement #1 is
included along with this resolution, see BLR 05611 form.
SECTION 3: The Village President and Village Clerk are hereby authorized and directed
to respectively execute the resolution for supplemental construction engineering services Ibr and
on behalf of the Village of Deerfield.
SECTION 4: That The Village of Deerfield hereby appropriates Seven Hundred twenty
four Thousand Five Hundred and Eighteen and 48/100 Dollars, or as much as may be need to cover
costs for construction engineering services in the completion of MFT Section Number 11- 00092-
00 -PV
SECTION 5: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval as provided by law.
