WHEREAS,. the North Suburban YMCA is undertaking the implementation of
plans for the construction of a building at Techny and Pfingsten Roads,
Northbrook,'to meet the needs of Deerfield and neighboring communities for
recreational and educational facilities; and
WHEREAS, the YMCA is well and favorably known for its programs serving
all ages', and all religious and ethnic groups; and
WHEREAS, the need for such facilities and programs has been recognized
by many residents of Deerfield, including the Youth Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND'BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, -:that the
plans and programs of the YMCA be and they are hereby endorsed; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all residents of Deerfield are urged to
support and participate in the fund-raising campaign for the construction
of the North Suburban YMCA building and the furtherance of its programs
for the benefit of this Village and its neighbors.
