AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A CONDITIONAL USE TO THE NORTH
SHORE GAS COMPANY TO PERMIT THE OUTSIDE STORAGE OF
EQUIPMENTi;1'AATERIALS, LIQUID PROPANE GAS, THE LOADING
AND UNLOADING OF MATERIALS OUTSIDE BUILDINGS, THE
STORAGE OF NATURAL OR MANUFACTURED GAS OR COMBINATION
THEREOF, AND FOR SUCH OTHER CONDITIONS AS ARE NECESSARY
TO THE OPERATION OF THE NORTH SHORE GAS COMPANY, A
PUBLIC UTILITY.
WHEREAS, a public hearing on the question of zoning of the
land hereinafter described in the M- Manufacturing District, in the
event of annexation to the Village of Deerfield, and for a Conditional
Use Permit, was held by the Plan Commission following notice
duly published as.required by law, and With the recommendation of the
Plan Commission;
NOW, THEREFORE., BE IT ORDAINED by the PresidentFiadd Board of
Trustees of the Village of Deerfield that in the event that the real
estate hereinafter *described shall be annexed to the Village of
Deerfield:
1. The Zoning Classification of the said real estate, to -wit:
That part of Lot-2 of Government Survey in the
Northwest Quarter of Section 4, Township 42 North,
Range 12, East of the Third Principal-Meridian,'
lying West of the right -of -way of Chicago, Milwaukee,
St. Paul t Pacific Railroad in Cook County, Illinois,
excepting the following tracts:
(Exception 1, taken by Illinois State Toll Highway
Commission: Commencing at the Northwest corner
of said Section 4, thence South along the West
line of said Section 4, a distance of 1064.96 feet
for a point of beginning, from the point of
beginning thence South along the West line-of
said Section 4, a distance of 250.02 feet to a
point, said point being 0.95 feet North of the
Southwest corner of the Northwest quarter of the
Northwest quarter of said Section 4, thence East
along a line forming an angleiof 9(P 33' 30"
to the left, with the preceding line extended
for addi stance of 1003.62 feet to a point of
tangency with an arc having a radius oft2739.79
feet, thence along the arc to the right a
distance of 181.29 feet,,to a point on the South

at the intersection of the West line of Section
4 with the North line of the Toll Road, said
point being 250.20 feet North of the South line
of the Northwest quarter of the Northwest quarter
of said Section 4; thence EAst on said line (being

South line of the Northwest quarter of the Northwest
quarter of said Section 4, and also being the North
line of the Illinois Toll Road) 854,35 feet to the

2. A permanent Conditional Use Permit will automati-
caily be granted to the North Shore Gas'Company, an Illinoi.s
corporation, to permit the use of the above described real estate
for all necessary operations of the North Shore Gas Company, a
public utility, such as outside storage of equipment, materials,
and liquid propane gas, loading and unloading materials outside
buildings, the storage of manufacture of natural or manufactured
gas or a combination thereof, and such other uses as are reason-
ably necessary to the present and future operation of said North
Shore Gas Company's public utility facilities; and the require-
ments of the M- Manufacturing District of the Zoning Ordinance
of the Village of Deerfield, as amended, are hereby declared to be
inapplicable to the facilities and operations of the North Shore
Gas Company on the above described real estate insofar as said facilities
and operations are now at variance or do not conrorm with the require-
ments of said ordinance and.insofar as such facilities and operations
may in the future necessarily be at variance or non - conforming with
the requirements of said ordinance, so that the said North Shore Gas
Company may expand it s facilities as may be reasonably }necessary to
the future operation of such facilities.
3.. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after is passage, approval and publication, asi required by law.
