WHEREAS, the Fourth of July means parades, flags, bands, fireworks,
pretty girls, picnics and familiy activities; and
WHEREAS, in the Village of Deerfield the Fourth of July also means
Deerfield Family Day; and
WHEREAS, the 1966 Deerfield Family Day and Fourth of July celebration
has proved to be one of unusual benefit, inspiration and entertainment with
a fine spirit of friendliness, patriotism and enthusiasm prevailing; and
WHEREAS, this result was attained by the concerted efforts of those
who planned the program and those who participated therein:
NOW, THEREFORE, DE IT RESOLVED that the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Deerfield, on behalf of the residents of the
Deerfield community, express its grateful appreciation to the Deerfield
Family Day Committee, the sponsoring organizations, and to all participants
in the program; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this expression of apprecia-
tion be sent to the members of the Deerfield Family Day Committee and to
the sponsoring organizations.
