RESOLUTION NO. R -15 -16
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZINIG A REAL ESTATE PURCHASE
AGREEMENT FOR PROPERTY AT 630 CENTRAL AVENUE
WHEREAS, the acquisition of the property commonly known as 630 Central Avenue,
Deerfield, Illinois (the "Subject Property") for future redevelopment purposes of the Village is
provided for in the Comprehensive Plan of the Village of Deerfield; and
WHEREAS, the Subject Property has been listed for sale;
WHEREAS, the corporate authorities of the Village of Deerfield are of the opinion that
the Subject Property should be acquired for the public purposes of the Village as provided in the
Comprehensive Plan of the Village of Deerfield.'
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS, in the exercise of its home rule powers, as follows:
SECTION 1: That the Village Manager of the Village of Deerfield is authorized and
directed to negotiate for the acquisition of the Subject Property for a purchase amount up to
Three Hundred Seventy Thousand & 00 /100 ($370,000.00) Dollars.
SECTION 2: That the Village Manager of the Village of Deerfield is further authorized
and directed to enter into a Real Estate Purchase Agreement for and on behalf of the Village to
purchase the Subject Property for an amount not to exceed Three Hundred Seventy Thousand &
00 /100 ($370,000.00) Dollars, subject to review and approval of the Real Estate Purchase
Agreement by the Village's attorney.

SECTION 3: That the Village President, Village Manager and Village Attorney be and
they are hereby further authorized and directed to take such other actions, and to execute and
deliver such other and further documents and instruments, as may be necessary or appropriate to
close the purchase of the Subject Property in accordance with a Real Estate Purchase Agreement
entered into pursuant to this Resolution for the acquisition of said property.
SECTION 4: That this Resolution, and each of its terms, shall be the effective
legislative act of a home rule municipality without regard to whether such Resolution should: (a)
contain terms contrary to the provisions of current or subsequent non - preemptive state law; or,
(b) legislate in a manner or regarding a matter not delegated to municipalities by state law. It is
the intent of the corporate authorities of the Village of Deerfield that to the extent that the terms
of this Resolution should be inconsistent with any non - preemptive state law, this Resolution shall
supersede state law in that regard within its jurisdiction.
SECTION 5: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval as provided by law.
