O-098BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Deerfield, that:
Section 1. It is to the best interests of the Village
that the alley in the Village described hereafter shall be vacated:
The alley running north and -south in the block bounded
on the north by Walnut Street, on the west by the Union
Drainage Ditch, on the south by the previously vacated
east -west alley, and on the east by Woodward Avenue,
and the same is hereby vacated; PROVIDII), HOWEVER, that there is
reserved to the Village of Deerfield and any licensee or person
holding a franchise therefrom, the Public Service Company of
Northern Illinois, and the Illinois Bell Telephone Company, their
successors and assigns, the right, permission and authority to
maintain their property and rights of way and easements to con-
struct, operate, maintain and renew boles, wires, cables, mains
and necessary fixtures for the transmission and distribution of
electricity, for the carrying and distributing of gas and for the
transmission of communications, together with the right of access
to the same for the maintenance thereof, and also to trim from
time to time such trees, bushes, and saplings as may be reasonably
required for the construction and efficient operation of said poles,
wires, cables, mains, and necessary fixtures in the aforesaid va-
cated alley; and provided further that there is reserved to the
Village the right to cnntinue the use of, replace, repair and main-
tain any sewer, water, or other municipal utility now located within
such alley.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval as provided by law.

I, CHESTER WESSLING, Village Clerk of the Village of Deerfield,
in the County of Lake and State of Illinois, do hereby certify that I
am Village Clerk of the Village of Deerfield, Illinois, and as such,
keeper of the records, ordinances, files, and seal of said Village; and
I H'1i'EBY CERTIFY that the foregoing instrument is a true and
correct copy of a certain original ordinance vacating the alley running
north and south in the block bounded on the north by Walnut Street, on
the west by the Union Drainage Ditch, on the south by the previously
vacated east -west alley, and on the east by Woodward Avenue, which was
passed and adopted April 13, 1953, and thereupon deposited in my office
and afterwards approved by the President of the Board of Trustees of said
Village on April 139 1953, all of which appears from the files, records
and paper&.of said Village- of Deerfield in my office.
