AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING
ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF DEER -
FIELD, LAKE COUNTY, ILLINOIS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: That the Zoning Ordinance of the Village
of Deerfield, Lake County, Illinois, passed and approved
February 6, 1924, be, and it is hereby amended as follows:
" That the following described parcels of real
estate:
PARCEL 1: Lots 5, 6 and 7 (except the
East 50 feet of Lot 7 ) in Block 1, also
that part of the South West quarter of
Section 28, Township 43 North, Range
12, East of the Third Principal PJleridian,
described as follows: to -wit: Com-
mencing at the North West corner of Lot
7 aforesaid, and running thence North
1.39 chains; thence West 2.87 chains;
thence South 1.89 chains, and thence
East 2.37 chains to the place of beginning
(except therefrom the East 50 feet there-
of) all situated in the Village of Deer-
field, Lake County, Illinois.
PARCEL 2: That part of the South West
quarter of Section 28, Township 43 North,
Range 12, East of the Third Principal
Meridian, described as follows: Commenc-
ing at the North East corner of Lot 7 in
Block 1 in the Town of Deerfield, accord-
ing to the plat thereof recorded March
16, 1857 in Book 27 of Deeds, page 167,
in Lake'County, Illinois, running thence
North 1.89 chains; thence West 50 feet;
thence South 1.89 chains to the North
line of said Lot 7; thence East along
the North line of Lot 7, 50 feet to the
place of beginning, in Lake County,Illinois.
PARCEL 3: The East 50 feet of Lot 7 in
Block 1. in the Town of Deerfield, accord-
ing to the plat thereof recorded March 16,
1857 in Book 27 of Deeds, page 167 in
Lake County, Illinois.

PARCEL 4: A tract of land East of and
adjoining Lots 13 and 14 in Block 1 of
the original Town of Deerfield, described
as follows: Commencing at the North
East corner of said Lot 14, thence East
2.99 chains; thence South to the North
line of Lot 5 in said Block 1; thence
Vilest on the North line of Lots 2, 3, 4
and 5 of said Block 2.43 chains to the
South Easterly corner of said Lot 13;
thence Northwesterly along the Easterly
line of Lots 13 and 14 to the place of
beginning, all in the South West quarter
of Section 28, Township 43 North, Range
12, East of the Third Principal Meridian,
in Lake County, Illinois,
being now within the district zoned for "All
Residence District of the Village of Deerfield,
be, and the same is hereby rezoned and changed
to that of and for "Local Business District"."
SEC TI'ON 2: That this rezoning ordinance has been
recommended and the subject matter hereof approved by the
Board of Appeals of the said Village of Deerfield as is in
the statutes and ordinances of the Village of Deerfield,
Lake County, Illinois, in such case made and xm ovided; that
the petitions involved and the recommendation of the Zoning
Board of Appeals are attached hereto and made a part hereof.
SECTION 3: That this ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after its date of passage and
approval.

PETITION FOR REZONING.
ZONING COMMISSION, VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, ILLINOIS
GENTLEMEN:
The undersigned, HELEN EGAN ANTES, is the legal owner
of the following described premises situated in the Village of
Deerfield, Lake County, Illinois:
Lots 5, 6 and 7 (except the East 50 feet of
Lot 7) in Block 1, also that part of the
South West quarter of Section 28, Township
43 North, Range 12, East of the Third Principal
Meridian, described as follows: to -wit: Com-
mencing at the North East corner of Lot 7
aforesaid, and running thence North 1.89 chains;
thence West 2.37 chains; thence South '1.89 chains,
and thence East 2.87 chains to the place of
beginning (except therefrom the East 50 feet
thereof),all situated in t'he Village of Deer-
field, Lake County, Illinois. Vacant and un-
improved.
That said premises were previously owned by the petitioner
with William G. W. Antes, her husband, now deceased, whose in-
terest was acquired upon his death by her as surviving joint
tenant. Petitioner is informed and believes that the premises
described as Lots 5, 6, and 7 (except the East 50 feet thereof)
in Block 1 in the Village of Deerfield, are zoned by the zoning
ordinances of -the Village as Business District but that the
premises lying immediately Northerly and contiguous thereto being
that portion of the South West quarter of Section 28, Township 43
Nort)i, Range 12, above described are zoned as Clafs "A" Residence
District. Said last described premises have a depth of 124.74 feet
and constitute with the premises fronting upon Deerfield Road a
complete entity susceptible of development as business property.
Petitioner further states that she is the owner of an
undivided one -half interest in the premises lying immediately.
Westerly of the premises in question, being a part of Lot 2, and
Lots 3 and 4 in Block 1 in the Village of Deerfield, presently,
zoned as business property and for which premises it is believed
business use will be instituted.
Your petitioner therefor respectfully prays th,s
honorable body that hearing may be set upon this petition and
that such notices thereof may be given as is required by your
ordinances and by the laws of the State of Illinois, and that such
premises may be rezoned as requested herein.
