Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of
Deerfield was called -to order by °the President, W. ,L Visiting.
Roll call: Prea®nt -- Fritsch, Horenberger, Juhrond, Pettis,
Absent--- Krese, Rosy.
Minutes of the regular meeting held on August 3d,, and of.the
adjourned meeting held on August 10th, were- read•and approved.
The following bills were read:

Moved by Pettis and second®d by Horenberger that the bills be paid.-

Moved by Fritsch and seconded by Horenberger that the bill of the City
:y of Highland Park'for water used from May 10 1914, to August 1, 1914, amounting
to t,7.74 'be paid from the water certificate fund.° • Upon -roll- call the following
vote was taken:°Yeas -- Fritsch, Horenberger, Juhrend, Pettis. Naes- -None.
Following bill was read:
Stevens Maloney & Co., Printing voucher
book and bills 16.00
Uoved by Pettis and seconded by Fritsch that the bills be paid out
of the first installment of Special, Assessment, #3 when collected. Upon roll
call the following Mote was takers: Yeas -- Fritsch; Horenberger, Juhrend, Pettis.
Plaes- -None.
A petition from prpyperty owners in the-Edwin P. Osterman sub- division
asking that immediate steps be.taken to constructtwatermains , on-Ostermen Ave.
and Chestnut 8t, in the subdivision, together with a communication from the
Board of Local Improvements recommending that the prayers of the petitioners
be granted was read.
Moved-by Fritsch and seconded by Horenberger that the recommendation
be approved and that the engineer be instructed to include this with the others.
Upon roll call the following vote was taken: `Yeas Fritsch, Horenberger,
Juhrend, Pettis. Naas- -None.
The President appointed Theo. J. Knaak as Village Collector.
Moved by Fritsch and seconded by Pettis that the appointment be
ratified.
Upon roll call the following vote was tak en :,Yeas -- Fritsch, Horenberger,
Juhrend, Pettis. Naas--None.
Moved by Pettis and seconded by Fritsch that the bond of the Village
Collector be 11,500.
Upon roll call the following vote was taken: Yeas -- Fritsch, Horenberger,
Juhrend, Pettis. Naas--None,
Moved by Pettis and seconded by Kress that the Treasurer furnish a
bond of 120000. Carried.
Moved by Pettis and seconded by Horenberger that the Petition of J. C.
Ender which was laid on, the table at the last meeting be now taken off the table.
Carried.
Moved by Pettis and seconded by Horenberger that the prayers of the
petitioner be not granted, and that the petition be filed in the Clerk's office.
Carried.
Moved by Fritsch and seconded by Pettis to adjourn.
