A regular meeting of the President and the Board of Trus-
tees of the Village of Deerfield was.called to order by the
President Harry E. Sing at_8 :00 P. M. with the following Trus-
tees present —: licKillip, .Palmer ; Peterson, Pottenger, Scribner
and Willman. Absent — ,None.
r Corporation Counsel McGaughey was also present.
The minutes of our regular meeting held November 10, 1936
andlof'the special meeting held.November 30, 1936 were read
approved.

-;On Tuesday evening, December 1, a public hearing was held be-
fore the.Board of Appeals at Village Hall. The purpose of the
meetin;,was to consider the petition of the Illinois Real Es-
tate Improvement Corporation, proposing certain changes in our
t1 zoning code as outlined in petition which appeared in the
Highland Park Press, as per copy attached. Messrs. Miller and
Morrie'appeared in behalf of the Illinois Real Estate Improve-
µ" !mant•Corporation, and objected to the wording of the petition.
They stated that the-way the petition was drafted it would cov-
er the whole.of Class "Atl zone while they were only interested
in the area formerly known as Goldman's Subdivision. The
chairman replied that we could only act upon the petition in
its present form and that there -was no other alternative than

Corporation requesting an,amendment to our Zoning,Ordinance

Comes hour Illinois Real Estate Improvement Corporation, 160
North LaSalle Street, Chicago, Illinois, and by this "petition
respectfully requests the Trustee`s.of the Village of:Deerfield,
Illinois, to amend the General Zoning Ordinance, and said or-
dinance.as amended, of the Village of Deerfield, Lake County,
Illinois, "by changing the intensity of use of lots in certain
portions of the Village of Deerfield, Lake County, Illinois,
as follows w-
SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances conflicting
herewith are hereby expressly repealed. �'
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after date of passage and approval.

tee Willman that the petition from the Illinois Real Estate
Improvement Corporation be referred to the Board of.Appeals.
Roll call resulted as follows. Yeas- Trustee HcKillip,

The President Harry E. Ring stated that most of the members
of the Village Board attended the meeting of the' Late County
Firemen's Association which was held on November 30, 1936 at
the fire station. There were about sixty- five`in attendance
and a very interesting and instructive talk was given.
An opinion from Corporation Counsel LicGaughey ,eras read
relative to the Occupational Diseases Act and it was moved by
Trustee Scribner and seconded by Trustee Peterson that re make
application to More., Case; Lyman and Hubbard for Occupational
Diseases Insurance.
Roll call resulted as follows. Yeas- All. Nays- Alone.

The following Stipulation was read and it was moved by
Trustee Pottenger and seconded by Trustee McKillip that the

STIPULATION
Whereas permission has been granted by the Village of
Deerfield for connecting with the existing sanitary sewer,
storm water sewer and water main to accomodate the property
located at the northeast corner of Knollwood Road and Mar -
gate Terrace in Briarwoods Subdivision in the Village of
Deerfield, such connections to. be made under the supervision

-of the Village-Engineer, at-the expense of the, owner, ex-
cept-as to the expense of the- Village Engineer, such expense
. to be born-by-the Village- and said, property having been
indirectly assessed- for the construction of, the aforemen-
tioned :improvements; in consideration therof,. it is here-
by stipulated -by Burton B.. McRoy, ,owner .of said property,
that he will not objeot -to•an i#direct assessment for further
extensions or Anstallationcof s aid service so far as the
same applies to his property andthat this stipulation be
considered as a- covenant running with the land and binding
on all future owners thereof.
