•A regular meeting of*the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Deerfield'was.called to order by the Pres-
ident Harry E.- Wing at 7;30'P. M. with the following Trustees
present- Palmer, Peterson,: Pottenger and Scribner. bsent-
moKiilip and: Willman.
The minutes of'the regular meeting of October 13, 1936
• .•and of the special meeting of October 20, 1936 were read and
approved."-_ ._ _
' -Trustee' Pottenger, Chairman of the Public Works Committee
informed the'Board that arrangements would be made to have the
septic tanks pumped out before cold weather begins.
•Trustee Peterson; Chairman -of the License Committee
stated that -the'vehicle-licensee-for 1937 were ordered and
that-we would receive them by December 1, 1936.
•The'Clerk was requested to have special notices made up
and have same `enclosed with'the water bills which are mailed
out an December ' 12,- 1936,"notifying the residents of the Vil-
lage-of Deerfield "that the vehicle licenses are now available
and that same'muat be purchased prior to February 1, 1937 and
that failure to -comply would,subject vehicle owners to arrest
after this date
' •Trustee Scribner; Chairman of the Water Committee stated
that 'the loss 'during the month of October was approximately
2�o higher 'than du_ ring _the :previous,
.two months. The out -
standing accounts as of October 31, 1338tr: are slightly lower
than'they'we're" the- preceding month. '
'The matter -of broken-sewer-in East Deerfield Road was
-- discussed and-a' motion was made'by Trustee Pottenger and sec -
onded by Trustee Peterson -that due to lack of funds a tempo-
rary'repair be* made and that the cost shall not exceed $100.00.

•A communication from' the Lake County *Firemen's Associa-
tion 'to the ' De- erfield * Fire •Department stating that their
records.ahowed our Fire"Dep artment to be in arrears as fol-
lows 'was read:

• -• •A letter'from the Village Collector,-advising the Board
that'Mr. Amandus Borscha, 3645 N. Hermitage, Ave., Chicago,
I11. 'owns --thb `N: & S. --of' Lot 55 in Goldman$ a Subdivision
and that on October -25, - 1932 he remitted $52.74. to pay the
4th installment and interest on the S. 2 of Lot 55, whereas
the installment"and* interest was only X15:90. The over-
;— •payment is laige'enough to pay the 5th installment on these
lots and still leaves a balance of $8.30 which she requests
be refunded to.Mr. Borscha with the Board's approval from
the Treasurer's` account.
Moved by Trustee Pottenger and seconded by Trustee Peter-
con that a refund in the amount of $8.30 be made to Mr. Borscha
from the Treasurer' s 'account. ^,
Upon roll call the following vote was taken. Yeas-
Trustee'Palmer, Peterson, Pottenger and Scribner'`, Nays-
None. Motion carried.
