Ihe.regular,meeting of "the President and the Board of
Trustees.of the�Village of Deerfield was - called to order by
the , Presia ent Harry E.-Wing-at--7:30 P..-Y.,
The. following trustees--responded--to roll call: McKillip
Palmer; Peterson, - Pottenger, Scribner and Vlillman. -Absent -
None.The.
The. minutes -of- the - meeting"held.July 149 1936 were read
and appr97ed.
The, clerk vias - ins- tructed .to- notify Chief of Police McLaugh-
lin to :arrest any.. who -as.e delinquent - in�'paying vehicle license
and bring, them:. b.efor.e Judge Duffy in the. event that Judge Bick-
ford is: pnable..to" hear_.these cases..
A'mption was ... made,- seconded and carried that' Erwin Greer's
and M.. -L, Kerrihard.l s,. water be.. shut .pff if the charges for reinstalling �
meter is. not paid. at_ once.
The. account__ of. firs. Dorothy, B. Tlhittle for damage to rail-
ing under the viaduct on Deerfield.Road was referred to Corpo-
ration;, C,punsel._McGaughey with- full. power to act,."

Palmer that the Preaident.- Harry_- E,,-Wing be requested to con-
tact the. officers. of_..the Deerfield-.State Bank regarding -the .
securities which we are holding..--.Motion-carried.
A' mpt ion was_ made, by.. Trustee - YcKill ip and seconded by
Trustee 17illman that .the -. clerk .write to-the Illinois Inspection
Bureau and inquire if there will be any change in our insurance
rates if,the'standpipe on the school grounds is removed and
also-include a copy of the ordinance requesting the sale of
this tank.
Roll call resulted as follows:- Trustee'McKillip, Palmer,
.Petersonq_Pottenger, Scribner and Willman. Nays- None..'Motion

. A letter from Seipp, Princell and Company requesting.the
payment of the interest on X1,000.00 Vlater' Vlorks Bond #7, and
�-Pl,000.00 Funding Bond 079 dated July.lo.1926 and,due January
1, 1935 wat ,referred: to the Corporation .Counsel McGaughey. with
instructions that he advise them that we:are refusing.to pay
,,this,, ;interest.
As, the President Harry E. Wing was obliged to leave
to meet another engagement, it was moved, seconded and carried
that.-Trustee Scribner act.as temporary chairman:
A resolution authorizitig the Deerfield State Bank-to be
continued as-the-depository for the funds of Florence E. Page,
Collector _was„ read and it was, moved by .Trustee Peterson and
seconded by.Trustee Vlillman.that the resolution be adopted as
read.
Ro11-call resulted as follows: Yeas All. Nays- None.
motion carried.
A motion was made by Trustee McKillip and.seconded -by.
Trustee Willman that as-Elm Street is an industrial connection
from Central Avenue to the south- terminus, same be raded,and
given.a coat.of road oil not to exceed six hundred 600) gallons.
Upon roll call the %following vote was taken. Yeas- Trustee
McKillip, _._Palmer, .Peterson,. Pottenger. and- VTillman. Nays- None.
Motion carried.
Fines collected during the month of July amounted to $10.00.
The following bills viere read and on a motion by Trustee
Pottenger which was seconded by Trustee McKillip they were ap-
proved for payment on receipt of proper funds.
The roll call resulted as follows. Yeas - Trustee McKillip,
Palmer, Peterson, Pottenger and Willman. Nays- None., Motion
carried.
