A special meeting of the President and the Board of.Trustees of the Village of Deerfield for the purpose of meeting with Enggineer Schwob of the Sanitary Slater Board relative to North Branch Chicago River Pollution was called to order by the President, Harry E. Wing. at 7;30 P. M. The following responded to roll call— Trustee Peterson, Pottenger and Harry E. Wing, President of -tre Board. -Abpent- Trustee McKillip, Scribner and Willman. The Board. requested George J. Page to get in contact with Elmhurst, Libertyville and Monmouth, which toz7is have recently issued sewerage revenue bonds to cover improvementjs on their present sewarave systems, after which he will analyze our local situation and present a report for action at our regular meeting of March 10,.1936. M. with the following-trustees present: - McKillip, Peterson, Pottenger and Willman. .Absent- Trustee Scribner. The minutes of our regular meeting which was held on February il, 1936 and-of the special meeting held March 4, 1936 were read and approved-. The report of the Auditor Albert L. Roderick was read and it was regularly moved, seconded- and carried to accept the report as read. , The chairman of the License Committee reported $460.00-col- lected on 1936 Vehicle Licenses to date'. An application from Cassius B. Easton for a Class D License was presented and it was moved by Trustee Peterson and seconded by Trustee Pottenger to accept the application. Roll call resulted as follows Yeas- Trustee MoKillip, , Peterson., Pottenger and Willman. Nays- None. Motion carried. The matter of the freezing and breaking of -the wa.termain in Chestnut-Street north of Hazel Avenue which -was caused by the failure of the engineers under whose supervision the Northwest Side, Paving was done to have the - watermain lowered to the proper depth to prevent freezing was discussed.-- A motion was made-by- Trustee Willman and seconded by Trustee Peterson that Corporation -Counsel UeGaughey- ascertain -what responsi- bility can be placed on-the engineers under whose supervision the Northwest Side Paving - Improvement was - constructed. Those voting -Yea were Trustee MoKillip, Peterson, Pottenger and Willman.• Nays- -None. -Motion carried. xrLiEr t,��tsvx. It was moved by Trustee Pottenger and seconded by Trustee Peterson to approve the payment of $200.00 for material ,for man- holes which.are to be built with relief labor. The roll call-resulted as follows -: Yeas- Trustee McKillip, Peterson Pottenger and Willman. Nays- None. Motion carried. A letter from the Chicago Children's Benefit League requesting that we alloy them to hold a Tag Day in the Village of Deerfield o:6 Monday, October 5, 1936 was read. On motion made, duly seconded and carried this requested was granted. A motion was made by Trustee Peterson and seconded by Trustee Willman that the clerk be instructed to write to the Public Service Oompany, authorizing them to remove the transformer bank serving the pump house on East Deerfield Road, also requesting that they furnish lighting service at the pump house and to change the present 100 Watt Lamp to 2-50 Watt Lamps at the entrance to Brierhill Road.. Roll call resulted as follows - -Yeas- All. Nays- None.
