A motion was made by Trustee Mercurio and seconded by
Trustee Tennis that the 8anvassing Ordinance relative to the
General Village Election held April 17, 1945.be passed as read.
Motion unanimously carried. Those voting "Aye" being
Trustee Bradt, Cazel, Mercurio, Scott, Stanger and Tennis. Those
voting "Nay" being None. U,11��� _
Trustee Mercurio made a motion Athat the petition for a
Class B License be granted to the Liebschuts Bros Liquor Store.
Roll call resulted as follows. Yeas— Trustee Bradt, Cazel,
Mercurio, Scott, Stanger and Tennis. Nays- None. Motion
carried.
It was moved by Trustee Mercurio that the application
4) for a Class C License from the.Briergate Country Club be tabled.
This motion was seconded by Trustee Cazel.
Upon roll call the following vote was taken, Yeas— Trustee
Bradt, Cazel, Mercurio, Scott, Stanger and Tennis. Nays— None.
Motion carried.
A motion was made by Trustee Mercurio and duly seconded by
Trustee Cazel that the Village Clerk's salary be increased from
$18.75.,per month to $25.00 and the. same to take effect as of
May 1, 1945.
Motion unanimously carried. Yeas— Trustee Bradt, Cazel,
Mercurio, Scott, Stanger and Tennis. Nays— None.

A special meeting of the President and the Board of
Trustees of the Village of Deerfield was called to order by
the President Robert S. Alexander at 8 P. M. fpr the purpose
of discussing _the matter of purchasing ,certain properties for
village offices and also for the appointment of a committee
for the foreclosure of certain properties which are delin-
quent on special assessments.
Roll call. Present — Trustee Bradt,*Cazel, Mercurio,
Scott and Stanger. Absent Trustee.Tennis.
After considerable discussion relative to purchase -of
certain properties for a Village Hall, a motion was made by Trustee
Mercurio•and duly seconded by Trustee-Cazel that we-negotiate
for an option_ on the purchase of that part of the North best
quarter of the North East quarter,_ Section 33, Township' 43' North,;.„
Range 12; East of the 3rd P. M., Lake County, Illinois, described
by commencing-at an old cross on.the concrete pavement at the
North Vest corner of said quarter quarter_ section, being in the
center line of Deerfield. Road; thence South along the lest line
of said quarter quarter section 23 feet to a link wire fence;
thence East parallel with the center line of Deerfield Road and
along said link wire fence 43 feet; thence South parallel with
the 'Nest line of said quarter quarter section 329 feet; thence
East parallel with the center line of Deerfield Road 65 feet;
thence South parallel with the West line of said quarter quarter
