A motion was made by Trustee Tennis and seconded by
Trustee Benz that -on the assumption there is.a duplication of
special assessments under Warrant No'. 25 on Lat 7, Block 6
in Evergreen Place Subdivision, the Village Collector be
instructed to check his records and if records disclose a
duplication then the Collector is authorized to correct *o
. his records to show only.one.assesoment and when'
-this assessment is paid in full then a receipt is to be given.

assessment desibed and that the action and steps taken by
the Village Collector in connection with the correction of
records with reference to this duplication,-be-approved.
Motion unanimously carried. Those voting "Aye" being
Trustee Benz; Mercurio, Scott, Stanger and Tennis. Those,
voting "Nay" being None.
An application from the Inland Asphalt Corporation
requesting permission to install five horisontal asphalt
storage tanks on their property at 741 Central Ave. was read
and referred to - -a committee consisting of.Anthony Mercurio,
as Ohairman. and John Anfrunz and Fred Labahn_ and they are to
report to this board at their next regular meeting.-
Trustee Benz-made a motion that the salary of Police
Chief McLaughlin be increased to $200.00 and Night Officer
Anderson's salary be increased to $145.00 the same to.take
effect as of January 1, 1945. This motion was seconded by
Trustee Mercurio. -
• Upon roll call the following vote was taken. Yeas —
Trustee Benz, Mercurio, Scott, Stanger and Tennis. Nays —
None. Motion carried.
Resolutions'requesting permission from the State
Highway Department to make repairs on the watermain in
Deergield Road ( Route S.A.. 11, Sec. Z) were read and it*,was
moved by Trustee Mercurio and seconded by Trustee Stanger
• that these resolutions be passed.
Roll call resulted a.s follows. Yeas — .Trustee Benz,
Mercurio, Scott, Stanger and Tennis. Nays— None. Notion
carried.

The regular meeting of the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Deerfield was called to order at 8 P. M. with
the following trustees responding to the roll call :-- Cazel,'
Mercurio, Scott, Stanger.,..Absent— Benz and Tennis.
In the absence of the President Victor E. Carlson, a motion
was made,4;econded and carried that Trustee Oazel act as chairman
• pro tem.
The minutes of the meeting held January 9, 1945 were read
and approved.
A motion was made by Trustee Mercurio that the application
from the Inland Asphalt Corporation fpr permission to erect
five storage tanks on their property at 741 Central Avenue in
the Village of Deerfield'be refused. This motion was seconded
by Trustee Stanger.
Motion unanimously carried. Those voting "Aye" being
Trustee Oazel, Mercurio, Scott and Stanger. Those voting "Nay"
being None.
An 'application from James G. Lawrence for the platting of
a new subdivision east and south of the Brierhill Subdivision
to be known as Westfield Homes,Inc. was referred to the
Planning and Zoning Commission for their consideration.
