A motion was made by Trustee Cole, seconded by Trustee Schneider,
that E. A. Meyer Construction Co. be contacted by Trustee Cazel, con -
cerning damage to c -4rbs and sidewalks in the Village of Deerfield.
Amendment:;to above motion was made by Trustee Cazel, seconded
by Trustee Cole that the - Village Attorney Milton 0. Olson handle the
same.
Upon vote taken on said amendment roll call resulted in the
following: Yeas: Trustees Cazel, Cole, Crush and Schneider. Nays:
none. Motion carried.
Upon vote being taken on,original motion as amended the roll
call resulted in the following:

and Schneider. Nays: none. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Trustee Crush, seconded by Trustee Cole,.,
that Trustee Cazel be appointed Thistle Commissioner for the pur-
pose of eradicating noxious weeds in the Village of Deerfield.
Upon roll call the following vote was taken Yeas: Trustees
Cazel, Cole Crush and Schneider. Nays: none. Motion Carried.
Motion was made by Trustee Cole, seconded by Trustee Schneider,
that the Village streets be better lighted until after the Village
carnival.
Roll call yielded the following result Yeas: Trustees Cole,
Crush,,Cazel and Schneider. Nays: none. Motion - carried.
Chairman of Police Committee Trustee Crush announced that
Russell Batt, Lester Marshall, and Paul Knigge has been selected
as special policemen for the Village.
Motion was made by Trustee Crush, seconded by Trustee Oazel,
that appointment of three above —named men as special police be
confirmed.
Upon roll call the following vote resulted: Yeas: Trustees
Crush, Cole, Cazel and Schneider. Nays: none. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Trustee Crush, seconded by Trustee Cole,
that :the Sylvan-Rifle Club, operating in the clay pit in the south-
ern limits of the Village, be given a temporary permit for small
bore shooting. �ll

A Special Meeting of the President and-Board of Trustee of the
Village of Deerfield was called to order by the President 0. M.
Willman at 8 :15 P.M. for the purpose of awarding contract for oil
to be used on Arterial streets 2, 3, 110 12 and 13. The roll call
was as follows; Present: Trustees Caze1, bole, Crush and Pottenger. �
Absent: Trustees Palmer and.$ohneider.
