Mr. Milton Olson complained of seeing drunks on the steps of
EastonTs tavern and Mr. Milton A. Frantz stated that Cassius
Easton's tavern was a general nuisance and disorderly both
inside and.outside. Cassius Easton denied the charges that
he had been selling liquor to drunks.
It was moved by Trustee Schneider and seconded by
Trustee Crush that Mr. Cassius Easton's $100.00 cash bond be

Cassius Eston tliereupon requested permission from the
.Village Board to put up a new cash bond. This request was
refused.
Trustee Schneider and Crush and President Willman with
Village Attorney Olson have studied over the liquor license
and it is their opinion that when the present three licenses
expire in April, 1940,.only two may be reneged in accordance
with the provisions of the ordinance.
Zhe following resolution for the designation of Arterial
Streets under the Motor Fuel- -Tax Law was presented and read: -
Beginning at Osterman Avenue and extending along Elm Street
in a southerly direction to the Industrial Section to be
known as Arterial Street No. 11.
Beginning at Deerfield Road and extending along Spruce St.
in a northerly direction to Arbor Vitae Road, thence in an =�-
- easterly direction to ,juniper Street, thence in a northerly
direction along Juniper and Cedar Street to Hazel Avenue
to be known as Arterial Street. No. 12.
Beginning at Deerfield Road and extending along Pine Street
in a northerly direction to Arbor Vitae Road thence along
Arbor Vitae Road in a westerly direction to Juniper Street,
thence along Juniper and Hemlock.Street in -a northerly
direction to Hazel Avenue to be known as Arterial Street
No. 13. , 0.
Beginning at Deerfield.Road and extending along Cedar
Terrace in a northerly direction to Arbor Vitae Road and
thence along Arbor Vitae Road in a westerly direction to
Pine Street to be known as Arterial Street No. 14.
Beginning at Greenwood Avenue and extending along Oakley
Avenue in a southerly direction to Hazel Avenue to be known
as Arterial•Street No. 15.
Moved by Trustee Cazel and seconded by Trustee Cole that
the above resolution be adopted and that two certified copies be
sent to the Department of Public Storks and Buildings, through
its District Office at Elgin, Illinois.
Roll call resulted as follows. Yeas- Trustee Cazel, Cole,
Crush, Palmer, Schneider and Pottenger. Nays- None. Motion
carried.

Trustees of the Village of- Deerfield called for the purpose
of discussing repair of fire truck and also to discuss the
matter of the moving of street signs on Waukegan and Deerfield
Roads was not held due to no quorem being present. -
