March 14, 1939.
The regular meeting of the President and the Board of
Trustees of the Village of Deerfield was not held due to no
quorem being present.

The President 0. M. Millman called for a special meet-
ing of the'President and the Board of Trustees of the Village
of Deerfield for ?larch 28, 1939, but due to no quorem present
the meeting was not called to order.

April 11, 1939.
The regular meeting of the President and the Board of
Trustees of the Village of Deerfield was called to order by
the President 0. M. Millman at 8 P. M. with the following
trustees responding to the roll call. Trustee Peterson,
Pottenger, Schneider and Stupple.' The absentees were Trustee
Hertel and Palmer. .
The minutes of our regular meeting held January 10,
1939 and the special meeting held January 30, 1939, the
speclal: meeting February 6, 1939, tho regular meeting February
141 1939, the special meeting March 7, 1939, the regular
meeting March 14, 1939, and the special meeting March 28,
1939 were read and a motio4 was made by Trustee Peterson and
seconded by Trustee _ Stupple that these minutes be approved
as read.
Roll call resulted as follows. Yeas— All. Nays— None.
Motion carried.
A motion was made by Trustee Stupple and seconded by
Trustee Peterson to adopt a resolution calling for an expendi-
` ture. up to-One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) for the maintenance
of Telegraph Road (Arterial Street #10) .
Upon roll oall the following vote was taken. Yeas—
Trustee Peterson, Pottenger, Schneider.and Stupple. Nays—
None. Motion carried. .. _
Moved,by Trustee Pottenger and seconded by Trustee
Stupple to adopt a_resolution' calling for the maintenance of
Greenwood Avenue (Arterial-Street #2 ) to the extent of Five
Hundred ($50Q.00) Dollars.
Motion unanimously carried.. Those voting "Aye" being
Trustee Peterson, Pottenger,.-Schneider-and Stupple. ' Those
voting I'Nayn ,being. None...
The Chief of Police - McLaughlin reported that $19.00
in fines were collected during _. the month of March, 1939.
A motion was made-by Trustee Pottenger and seconded by
Trustee Schneider to adopt.the resolution to-continue the
Deerfield State Bank, -as the Depository_for_._the funds of the
Village Collector,--Florence E. _ Page . Stryker.
Roll call resulted as follows. _.Yeas— 'Trustee Peterson,
Pottenger, Schneider and. Stupple. . 1Jays— ..None. Motion carried.
The Village - -Clerk was instructed to.get inrtouch with
the Highway Department at Elgin regarding the slowing down of
traffic on Deerfield Road in the vicinity of the Wilmot-School.
The following bills were read and it was moved by Trustee
Peterson and seconded by Trustee Stupple that these bills be
approved for payment on receipt of proper funds with the
exception of the Singer Publishing Co. bill for $140.00.
