01/10/193925 January 10, 1939. The regular-meeting of the President and the Board of Trustees of the Village.of Deerfield was called to order by the President-0.1. Willman at 8 P. M. with the following trustees responding to roll call;- Hertel, Palmer, Peterson, Pottenger and Schneider. Absent- Trustee Stupple. The minutes of the regular meeting held December 131 1938 were .read and approved.. I t At present there are 29 cases of chicken pox, 2 of whooping cough and 1 of pneumonia according to the report given by the chairman of the Health and County Relations Committee._ - A suggestion was made that some of the relief labor might be :.� -used in making a checkup of those who have not purchased their 1938 Dog License tags. A letter from the James Anderson Co. relative to their bill -of November 7, 1938 for engineering services rendered in connection with - changes and alte as proposed to the two existing sewage ,anions disposal plants was /a motion was made by Trustee Pottenger and seconded by Trustee Schneider to receive same and refer toC,Corpora- tion Counsel McGaughey. , Result of roll call as follows. Yeas- Trustee Hertel, Palmer, Peterson, Pottenger and Schneider. Nays- None. Motion carried. After considerable discussion relative to reports being made by 't'be Police Magistrate and the Justices of the Peace as to cases.--------' . heard and fines collected, a motion was made by Trustee Palmer and duly seconded by Trustee Pottenger that the Pblice,Magistrate and the Judges of the Peace handling Village Ordinance violation cases be requested to make reports at least two days before.each- regular monthly meeting of the Village Board setting forth.the docket number, name of defendant, date case was handled, amount collected and the date of remittance to the Village Collector.. Upon roll call the following vote'was taken. Yeas- Trustee .Palmer, Peterson; Pottenger and Schneider. Nays- Trustee Hertel. - Motion carried. - A motion was made by Trustee Peterson and seconded by Trustee Palmer that the following bills be . approved for payment on receipt of proper funds.
