April 22, 1949•
A special meeting of the President and Board of Trustees was called to
order by the President Robert S. Alexander at 8 Pe M. for the purpose
of canvassing the election returns of the Village Election held April.
19, 1949 and for the purpose of adopting the ordinance fixing the
official time within,the Village of Deerfield, Tice County, Illinois.
Roll call - Present- Trustee Banfield, Bradt, Mercurio and Stanger.
Absent - Trustee King and Peterson.
The tabulated statement of returns as made by the Canvassing Board
shows the following number of votes cast for the various offices.

A motion was made by Trustee Banfield and seconded by Trustee Stanger
that the following having received the highest number of votes be declared
elected : - Village President for four.years, Andrew G. Bradt; Village
Trustees for four yearm, William Be Hinchsliff, Vernon M. Meintzer and
Clarence V;ilson; Village Clerk for four years, Chester I. 4Tessling.
Roll call resulted as follows. Yeas - Trustee Banfield, Bradt, Mercurio
and Stanger. Nays- lions. Motion carried.

there were 693 voting."Yos" and ,235 voting "No" on the Illinois Municipal
Retirement fUnd Proposition, the proposition as submitted be declared
carried.
Upon roll call the following vote was taken. Yeas- Trustee Banfield,
Bradt, Mercurio and Stanger. Nays - Nonee Motion carried.
Trustee Stanger made `a motion which was seconded by TrusteevBanfield that
the ordinance fixing the official time within the Village of Deerfi6ld.'
Lake County, Illinois, be passed:
Roll call resulted as follows. Yeas- Trustee Banfield, Bradt, Mercurio
and Stinger. Nays- No Motion carried.
