OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF
DEERFIELD HELD IN THE COUNCIL

The re,,ul -.r meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield was
called to order inthe Council Cham bers of the Village Hall on Monday, November 9,
1953 at 8:00 P.M. On motion by Trustee Engelhard, seconded by Trustee Kelley,
Trustee King was appointed President pro tei.. The Clerk called the roll and
reported that the following were

George and Peterson, showing 25 cases and fines of 2;1147.Ce
together with checks for that amount, was approved. Trustee Engelhard suggested
th^t a study be made investigating the possibility of setting minin m fines
by ordinance. On notion by Trustee Maryer, seconded by Trustee Engelhard, the `
Health Report was approved.
After canvassing the Foll books and Tally Sheets of the
Canvass of Srpcial SFccial Election held November 6, 1953, the Board of
Election Trustees approved the report of the elecion officials
who reported 'hat on the proposition .'.115ball bonds in
the amount, of k575,CO0 be issued br the Village of Deerfield, Lak^ County, Illinois,
for the purpose of paying part of the cost of improving and extending the sewer
system of said Village, maturing "20,CCO on December 1 of ,Bach of the years 1955,
to 1958, inclusive' on Dece:�ber 1 of e acs of the years 1959 to 1961,
inclusive, ;30,000 on December 1 of each of the years 1962 to 1965, inclusive,
35,C00 on December 1 of each ofthe years 1966 to:1969, inclusive, and w401C00
on December 1 of each of the years 1970 to 1973, • inclusive, and bear interest
at the rate of not to exceed three and three- fourths percent (3 3/4 %) per annum,
payable semi - annually ? ", 736 ballots were cast in favor of said proposition,
and 53 ballots were cast against said proposition. The Board of Trustees determined .
and thereby found that said proposition passed, and the Uillage of Deerfield is
now authorized to issue said bonds. Trustee Engelhard roved, seconded by j

Trustee Marxer stated that his res ation from the Board would be necessary, since
he planned to move from the Villaggabout December 1, 1953• He expressed his thanks
to the Board for the cooperation he had received as a member, and stated )his brief
term in office had been an interesting and pleasant experience. Trustee King
expressed for the Board the thanks and appreciation of all members for the helpful
�. service given by Trustee Marxer.

to November 23, 1953 at 8:00 p.m. at which time Mr. Roderick and Mr. DeWeese would
be invited to be present to discuss the progress of the work in clearing up Special
Assessments.
