The regular meeting of.the President and Board of Trustees of-the
Village of Deerfield was called to order by the President Andrew Go
Bradt at 8. Pt Me 4.
Roll call-Present- Trustee Engelhard, Hinchsliff, King, Leintzer,
Wilson and Wynkoopo
Absent-- None.
The minutes of the regular meeting held December 8, 1952 were read and
approved.
The following bills were read and it was moved by Trustee Wilson and seconded
by Trustee Hinchsliff that these billsbe.paidp �fq as, and when funds

Motion unanimously carried. Those voting "Aye" being Trustee Engelhard,

It was moved by Trustee Weintzer and seconded
by Trustee Hinchsliff that
the following resolution be passed.
RESOLVED:
That the Board deems it in the beat interests of the Village of
Deerfield to vacate that Portion of the dead-end street which =a North
and South, known as Maplewood Terrace, from the South boundary of Land
,is._
and Improvements Association Subdivision to the South boundary of Lot
8 in.Maplewood Terrace Subdivision- a distance of approximately 397
feet - when the.following conditions have been met and subject to the
retention of easements as the statute requires for utilities:
1. Payment of compensation to the Village by each land.owner
of '5.00 per 100 feet or portion thereof abutting on the street.
Upon roll call the following vote was taken. Yeas - Trustee Engelhard,
Hinchsliff, King, Meintzer, Wilson and Wynkoop. Nays- none. Motion
carried.
Trustee Wynkoop made a notion which was seconded by Trustee Wilson that
the report as submitted by Police Magistrate hunt showing 6W257.0 in
fines collected during the month of December, 1952 together withs
check for this amount, he received.
Roll call resulted as follows. Yeas - All. Nays- None. ?.lotion carried.
` A motion was made by Trustee Wynkoop and seconded by�Trustep Meintzer
that'we accept the radio control agreement to pay the County of bake
Fifteen Dollars per month per Mobile Transmitting and Receiving Unit and
Ten-Dollars pares month .per Control .Console.- beginning December 1, 1952 and
ending "*fti tuber 30; 1953 and also .that_ Mr._ Gayle- .T..- Martin. as Village
Manager, be authorized to sJ&n- .thia,.agreement.__ __ . # .

Trustee Hinchsliff made a"motion which.vres_.peconded by Trustee Meintzer
that the insurance for the new garage_be referred to the Finance_Committee.
Roll call resulted as flows. Yeas- Trustee Engelhard, Hinchsliff, King,
Meintzer, Wilson and tilgnkodp. Nays, - None. Motion carried.
It was moved by Trustee Meintzer__and seconded by_7rustee Wynkoop that the
letter from the Pablic *Servipe_Company.of Northern_Illinois in which they
offer reasonable electric energy.at.the.Village Hall and Police_ Station,
the Fire Station and the Str-oet.Department.Building free of.charge during
the time that a certain ordinsnc_e_passed by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of De-erfield_April_9, 1946 -shall be in force,
be received and placed, on

f Village of Deerfield, that:
Section 1. Any autorobile`or- other_ vehicle parked �n one place on
any public street or wqy in the.village -fo: a consecutive period of forty -
eight hours or more shall be .considered- abandoned_and..the, chief of police;
as custodian of lost aid abandoned-property-shall-take poss9ssJon,of and
dispose of such vehicl@ as provided by statute.
j= Section 2. T)40 ,chief.-of-police-shall remove, or cause to be
removed, any vehicle,Wked in any public street in violation of any law
or ordinance in such a,place- or..at.such -a.- time- as..to- interfere with the
t" removal of snow from the streeta, block access to a fire hydrant'$ or
interfere with any vehicle of the village on emergency duty. Such
vehicle may be removed from the streets and placed in a safe place for
storage, and shall not be relaesed to the owner until the cost of such
removal and storage has been paid.
