A special meeting of the President and Board of Trustees of the --
Village of Deerfield was.called to order` by the clerk, Chester
` Wessling at 8 P. Its for the purpose of taking action relative to
the petition as submitted by the property owners abutting on the
alley running from Woodward Avenue to Potomac Avenue approximately
125-feet` south of Hazel Avenuep and any other matters brought to
the attention of the Board.
Roll call- Present- Trustee Engelhard, Hinchsliff, King, Meintzer and y
Wilson.
Absent - Trustee Wynkoop.
President Andrew Gv Bradt being unable to attend, it was moved,
seconded and carried that`Trustee Kiz* act as President pro -tem. _
A petition was received from certain property owners abutting the
alley running from Woodward-Avenue to Potomac Avenue approximately
125 feet south of Hazel Avenue, requesting that this alley be
vacated. It was moved by Trustee Meintzer and seconded by Trustee
Wilson that the Village Attorney be instructed to draw up an
ordinance for the vacating of the alley running from Woodward Avenue #_
to Potomac Avenue immediately south of Hazel Avenue. A check in the '
amount of $x1,0.00 accompanied the petition.
Roll call resulted as follows. Yeas- Trustee Engelhard, Hinchsliff,
King, Ma intzer and Wilson. Naps- None. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Trustee King and seconded by Trustee Engelhard
that we,will accept a resolution to institute proceedings for the
foreclosure of the lien of the unpaid installments of the special
assessments on certain lots in Solomon's Addition to Deerfield on
a'50j bid and also that we rescind the action of this board.taken.
at its meeting held March 129 1946 at which time they authorized
that proceedings be instituted for the foreclosure of the lien of
the unpaid installments of special assessments against certain lots-
in Solomon's Addition to Deerfield, described as Parcel No* l on a
20% bid and further that we rescind the action of this board taken
at its meeting held February;119' 1947 at which time they authorized
special assessments levied against
the foreclosure of the lien of spainst
the property described as Parcel No. 2 in Solomon's Addition to
Deerfield on a 20% bid and_also the property described as Parcel
No. 3 in Solomon's Addition to Deerfield on a 60% bid. _
Upon roll_'call'the following vote was taken. Yeas — Trustee Engelhard,
Hinehsliff, King, Meintzer and Wilson. Nays - None. Motion carried.
No further business appearing, it was moved, seconded and carried
to adjourn.
