RESOLUTION NO. R -03 -04
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AMENDMENT NO.2 TO
STATE CAPITAL GRANT AGREEMENT NO. 3121 BETWEEN THE
VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD AND THE ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION TO EXTEND THE EXPIRATION DATE OF THE GRANT
WHEREAS, the Village of Deerfield has previously entered into a Grant Agreement
with the State of Illinois Department of Transportation, Grant No. CAP -01- 737 -OGL, Contract
No. 3121, for the Deerfield Road Pedestrian Bridge improvement project; and,
and,
WHEREAS, said Grant Agreement is currently scheduled to expire on March 30, 2003;
WHEREAS, the State of Illinois Department of Transportation has agreed to extend the
expiration date of the Grant Agreement for a period of ten (10) years from the original date of
grant award to March 31, 2011 in accordance with the current policy of the Illinois Department
of Transportation on the time frame for completion of grant assisted projects; and,
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield have
determined that it is in the best interests of the Village of Deerfield that said Amendment No. 2
to Contract No. 3121 be authorized and approved to extend the expiration date of the Grant
Agreement to March 31, 2011;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS, in the exercise of its home rule powers as follows:
SECTION 1: That Amendment No. 2 to the State Capital Grant Agreement by and
between the Village of Deerfield and the Illinois Department of Transportation, Grant No. CAP-
0 1-73 7-OGL, Contract No. 3121, for the Deerfield Road Pedestrian Bridge improvement project,
be and the same is hereby approved and authorized.
SECTION 2: That the Village President is hereby authorized and directed to execute
said Amendment No. 2 for and on behalf of the Village of Deerfield.
SECTION 3: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval as provided by law.
