A petition from neighboring property owners was read asking that no building permit be issued and an immediate hearing be held on the question of issuance of said permit, on the basis that the proposed building will deteriorate and depreciate the value of their properties. Trustee Raff pointed out there is a question as to which is a rear lot line on a triangular lot. The Village attorney stated that the Zoning Ordinance provides for an appeal from any ruling of the enforce- ment officer, i.e., the building commissioner, to be taken to the Board of Zoning Appeals for a decision. Trustee Schleicher proposed that the legal aspects of the matter be referred to the Village attorney fora report at the next meeting, and the petitioners, the applicant and the building commissioner be invited to the meeting to discuss the matter.
