P.C. Report- Shepard Rezoning The report of the Plan Commission'on the
Petition Shepard rezoning request was read. They
recommended that action on the petition
be deferred pending a study by the Planning Consultant and Village attorney.
Trustee Forrest moved, seconded by Trustee Craig, that the Board acknowledge
receipt of the report; and it be placed on file.
Motion carried unanimously.
Trustee Schleicher stated the Youth Couhcil had created a fact
finding committee, and suggested the Board asks the committee for a study
on the Pink Panther with respect to the residence and non- residence of
persons attending the dances. The Bce rd concurred.
President Finney reported he had met with the Community Relations
Committee, and appointed Trustee Craig as liaison between the Board and the
Committee. Trustee Craig accepted the appointment.
Trustee Raff moved, seconded by Trustee Forrest, that the meeting
be adjourned to Monday, September 12, 1966 at 8 :00 p..m. Motion carried
unanimously, and the meeting adjourned at 12:50 a.m.

The adjourned meeting of the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Deerfield was called to order by the President .i�n khe Council Chambers
of the.Village Hall on Monday, September 1.2, 1966 at 8 :10 p.m. The clerk called
the roll and reported the following were
Present: H. Ross Finney, President
Raymond L. Craig,
Bernard Forrest
Charles H. Raff
Ellis W. Smith
Absent: George P. Schleicher
James M. Wetzel
and that a quorum was present and in attendance at the meeting. Also present
were Messrs. Richard Houpt, Village attorney, and Norris Stilphen, manager.
The Village�Iattorney reported he had checked with the State's
attorney regarding the status of the Township library and tax levy and
understands that the Township tax levy will be filed on or by September 13,
1966, the deadline for filing. A special Town meeting must be called if
the Township library tax is to be abated. He stated the offices of the County
Clerks of Cook and Lake County had informed him they will accept the tax
abatement ordinance at any time prior to the time of tax extension, which
would be March 1967 in Lake County and the first of the year in Cook County.
He stated that no ection need be taken until a December meeting.
Table Ordinance Abating Trustee Craig moved, seconded by
Library Tax Trustee Forrest, that the Library
Tax Abatement Ordinance be tabled
pending action on the Township Library levy, and the matter be placed on
the agenda no later than the December 9, 1966 meeting.

Accept Bids - MFT Maintenance The manager reported that bids for Motor Fuel
Materials Tax maintenance materials had been received
Septmber 8, 1966, and the low bidders were
as follows:
Morton Salt Company bid $12.80 per ton for sodium chloride rock salt.
Trustee Raff moved, seconded by Trustee Craig, that the low bid of Morton
Salt Company be accepted under the Motor Fuel Tax law. Adopted by the

Peter Baker & Son Company bid $7.00 per ton for pre -mix patching
material. Trustee Raff moved, seconded by Trustee Forrest, that the low bid of
Peter Baker and Son Company be accepted under the Motor Fuel Tax law. Adopted

J & D Supply Company were the only bidders on traffic paint, the bid
being $3.75 for white paint and $3.95 for yellow. Trustee Smith moved, seconded
by Trustee Forrest, that the bid of J & D Supply Company be accepted under the
Motor Fuel Tax law. Adopted by the following vote:

per yard for seal coat aggregate. Trustee Raff moved, seconded by Trustee Smith,
