A meeting of the Board of Local Improvements of the Village of Deerfield was called
to order by the President in the Council Chambers of the Village Hall on Monday, April
16, 1973 at 8:07 p.m. The secretary called the roll and reported that the following

Present: Bernard Forrest, President
George Kelm
Werner E. Neuman
Stephen M. Slavin
Daniel H. Stiehr
M. Jay Turner, Jr.
Absent: Albert E. Brust
and that a.quorum was present and in attendance at the meeting. Also present were
Messrs. Richard Houpt, Village attorney, and Norris Stilphen, manager.
The Village attorney reported that the suggestion made by the Board that all
remaining improvements in Hovland Subdivision be included in the Gordon Terrace improve-
ment could not be accomplished since the statutes provide there must be some physical
c onnection,,in a single' local;°improvement.
Originating Resolution The resolution was presented originating a local
Gordon- KenmoreImprovements improvement consisting of the construction of concrete
S/A 112 (R- 73- BLI -3) pavement, curb and gutter, sidewalks, and the in-
stallation of water main, sanitary sewers and a storm
drainage system and otherwise improving portions of Gordon Terrace and Kenmore Avenue,
and providing for a public hearing on May 21, 1973 at 8:00 p.m. on the question of
making the improvement, with the estimated total cost of the ,improvement in the amount
of $216,262.10 attached.
Mr. Stiehr moved, seconded by Mr. Turner, that the Resolution be adopted as
presented. Adopted by the following vote:
Ayes: Kelm, Neuman, Slavin, Stiehr, Turner (5)
N ays: None (0)
The President and members of the Board of Local Improvements signed the said
R esolution.
There being no further business to come before the Board of Local Improvements,
on motion by Mr. Turner, and seconded by Mr. Stiehr, the meeting was adjourned at
8:12 p.m.
