A meeting of the Board of Local Improvements of the Village of Deerfield
was called to ,order by the President on Monday, July 17, 1967 at 8 :15 p.m.
The secretary called the roll and reported that the following were
Present: H. Ross Finney
Charles R. Bootz
Bernard Forrest
George Kelm
Charles H. Raff
George P. Schleicher
Absent: Raymond L. Craig
and that a quorum was present and in attendance at the meeting. Also present
were Messrs. Richard Houpt, Vi.l lage attorney, Norris Sti 1phe.n, ma.nager, and
Robert Bowen, building commissioner.
Public Hearing - Hertel Ln. All.property owners having been notified
Improvements S/A 106 of the public hearing on Hertel Lane
improvements, Mr. Bowen explained the
scope of the improvement, consisting of water mains, sanitary and storm sewers,
street pavement with curb and gutter, and sidewalks, extending from Wilmot
Road to Carol Lane on Hertel Lane. The engineer's estimate of cost, dated May 3,
1967, is $25,477.10. The improvements were initiated by petition of the property
owners. The attorney stated that if the ordinance is adopted at the first
meeting in August, the assessment is confirmed by the Court by the middle
of September, it may be possible to start construction this fall if bids are
obtained prior to Court confirmation.
Adhering Resolution Mr. Raff moved, seconded by Mr. Bootz,
Hertel Lane S/A 106 that the Adhering Resolution bb adopted
approving the estimate of cost of Hertel
Lane improvements and adhering tto the facts, figures and statements set forth
in the estimate. Adopted by the following vote:
Ayes: Bootz, Forrest, Kelm, Raff, Schleicher (5)
Nays: None (0)
The President and all members present signed the Resolution.
Recommendation- Ordinance Mr. Forrest moved, seconded by Mr.
.Hovland Improvements S/A 107 Schleicher, that the Board of Local
Improvements submit an ordinance pro-
viding for the construction of improvements consisting of water and sanitary
sewers and storm drainage on streets in Hovland Subdivision with the estimate
of cost of said improvement, and recommend the passage of said ordinance and
the making of the improvement by the Board of Trustees. Adopted by the
following vote:
Ayes: Bootz, Forrest, Kelm, Raft, Scnleicher (5)
Nays: None (0)
All members present and the President signed the Recommendation.
