Fire Prevention Trustee. -Koss moved, seconded by Trustee Brown,
Committee that a committee.'be established to study fire
prevention, particularly with reference'to'schools,
and that Trustees Petesch and Wehle, the Fire Marshal, Chief of Police and a
representative from the'Deerfield - Bannockburn Fire Protection District be
invited to serve. on the committee.
Carried unanimously.
Radio Contract Trustee Wehle moved, seconded by Trustee Brown,
that the radio contract with Lake County for
police radio service be renewed at an annual charge of $300. Adopted by the
following vote:

Mr. Neal Gertz, Central Avenue, asked that the south guard rail at the
Central Avenue bridge be enlarged, since it was hazardous to children in the
neighborhood. The Village Manager will investigate.
There being no further.-business to come before the meeting, on motion
by Trustee Brown, seconded by several, the meeting was adjourned.

The regular meeting of the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Deerfield was ,called to order by the President in the Council Chambers
of the Village Hall on Wednesday, January 14., 1959 at 8:30 P.M. The Clerk
called the roll and reported the following were

On motion by Trustee Petesch, seconded by Trustee Peterson, reading of
minutes of the regular meeting held December 10, 1958 was dispensed with, and
minutes approved as submitted. Motion carried unanimously.
Reports The reports of the Building Commissioner, Water
and Sewer Billing Departmant., Health Officer,'
Collector and Public Works-Department for the month of December, 1958 were
read. The Police report, showing 62 arrests and fines of $688, was approved.
The Fire Marshal's.report was read, in which it.was stated that Shell Oil
Service*.Station, County Line and Waukegan Road, had not made the corrections
as directed by the Fire Marshal. Trustee Wehle requested that the Village
Manager take action to force compliance.
Ordinance - Driveways Trustee Peterson moved, seconded by Trustee Brown,
Amendment, Municipal Code that'an ordinance be adopted amending Sections 161,
(0-59-1) 162 and 164 of the Municipal Code of 1946, relating
to permi t`i;, fees and specifications for driveways.

Plan Commission Report The report from the Plan Commission recommended
Christy Property that the Christy property at 150 Waukegan Road
be rezoned to the 0 & R Office and Research
classification, Trustee Koss moved, seconded by Trustee Petesch, that the
Board concur in the recommendation of the Plan Commission, and an ordinance be
prepared to effectuate the rezoning of the property to 0 $ R. Upon roll call,
the motion was adopted by the following vote:

'in full for one month during his illness, with payment of one -half salary for
an additional two months. Upon application by Officer Anderson, the Police
Pension Board will pay one -half his salary during the period of his disability.

Deny Keller Petition The Board of Zoning Appeals recommended denial of
Board of Zoning Appeals the petition of Mr. Henry Keller, 1054 Broadmoor,
