November 22, 1954
The meeting of the Board of Trustees-of the Village of Deerfield convened at
7:30 P.M. pursuant to adjournment voted at the meeting of November 15, 1954.
On roll call the following were
Present: Eugene F. Engelhard
Hubert N. Kelley
Joseph W. King
Raymond T. Meyer
Absent: John D. Schneider, President
Fred 0. Dicus
Harold W. Wynkoo�
Motion by Trustee Meyer, seconded by Trustee Kelley, that Trustee King
serve as President pro tem.
The Clerk then presented and read an ordinance entitled:
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR BORROWING MONEY-.AND ISSUING BONDS
OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE COUNTY, ILLINOIS, TO THE
AMOUNT OF $575,000 FOR THE PURPOSE OF PAYING PART OF THE COST
OF IMPROVING AND EXTENDING THE SEWER SYSTEM OF SAID VILLAGE
AND PROVIDING FOR THE LEVY AND COLLECTION OF A DIRECT ANNUAL
TAX FOR THE PAYMENT OF THE PRINCIPAL AND INTEREST OF SAID BONDS,
and stated that this ordinance had been on file in the Clerk's office for public
inspection since the 15th day of November, 1954 when it was ordered placed on
file at the meeting of that date.
Trustee Engelhard then moved that the said ordinance be passed and
adopted; seconded.by Trustee Meyer. On roll call, the vote was:
Ayes: Engelhard, Kelley, King, Meyer (4)
Nays: None (0)
Trustee Kelley moved, seconded by Trustee Engelhard,
West Deerfield Manor that the recommendation of the Plan Commission be
Resubdivision Approved approved, and the resubdivision of Lots 1 -5, West
Deerfield Manor subdivision, be accepted, subject
to working out all details. Adopted by the following vote:
Ayes: Engelhard, Kelley, King, Meyer (4)
Nays: None (0)
Mr. Rupp, Village Manager, requested permission to
Approve Expenses attend the City Managers' Donference at St. Peters -
Village Manager burg, Florida and an allowance for expenses made.
Trustee Meyer moved, seconded by Trustee Engelhard,
that the Manager be authorized to attend said conference from December 2 - 13,
and expenses for travel, food, lodging be allowed, an estimated $250.00. Adopted
by the following vote:
Ayes: Engelhard, Kelley, King, Meyer (4)
Nays: None (0)
Trustee Engelhard moved, sea)nded by Trustee Kelley,
f6zoning - R -7 to R -2 the adoption of an ordinance rezoning the East one -
half. (3 properties) of the tract now zoned R -7 to
R -2 single family area; said properties being described in the petition on which
a public hearing was held June 17th, 1954, by the Plan Commission.
Adopted by the following vote:

There being no further business, on motion duly made and seconded,
the meeting was adjourned.
