The adjourned meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village
Deerfield was called to order in the Council Chambers of the Village
on Monday, October 25, 1954 at 7:30 P.M. Trustee Meyer, sole member
adjourned the meeting to Tuesday, October 26, 1954 at 7:30 P.M.

The adjourned meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of
Deerfield was called to order by President pro tern King in the Council Chambers
of the Village Hall on Tuesday, October 26, 1954 at 7:30 P.M. The Clerk
called the roll and reported that the following were
Present: Eugene F. Engelhard
Hubert N. Kelley
Joseph W. King
Raymond T. Meyer
Harold W. Wynkoop
Absent: John D. Sehneider, President
Fred 0. Dicus
and that a quorum was present and in attendance at the meeting.
Mr. George Flagler's application for a driveway
Authorize Flagler permit was discussed at length. Trustee Engelhard
Driveway moved, seconded by Trustee Kelley, that the Board
authorize Mr. Flagler to put in a driveway at a
point midway between the extremities of the properties owned by Flagler and
Ki rar, subject to the release of the present easement, the replacement of
the tree removed in the construction of the new driveway, and replacement of
the curb at the present driveway; this permission given provided the commercial
use of said driveway be restricted to the Deerfield Construction Company, and
no other commercial user. Adopted by the following vote:
Ayes: Engelhard, Kelley, King, Meyer (4)
Nays: None (0)
Not Voting: Wynkoop (1)
The Sewerage Revenue Bond Ordinance having been on
Ordinance - Sewerage file one week, Trustee Meyer moved, seconded by Trustee
Revenue Bonds Engelhard, the enactment of on ordinance authorizing
and providing for the issue of $160,000 Sewerage
Revenue Bonds of the Village of Deerfield, Lake County, Illinois, for the
purpose of defraying part of the cost of improving and extending the existing
sewerage system of said Village, prescribing all the details of said bonds,
and providing for the collection, segregation and distribution of the
revenue of the sewerage system of said Village for the purpose of paying the
cost of the operation and maintenance thereof, providing an adequate depreci-
ation fund therefor, and paying the principal and interest of said Revenue
Bonds. Adopted by the following vote:

Ordinance - Sewer Rates
and Charges
fixing rates and charges
of said rates and charge
Trustee Meyer moved, seconded by Trustee Wynkoop,
the enactment of an ordinance for the regulation and
operation of the municipally owned sewage system of
the Village of Deerfield, Lake County, Illinois,
for the use thereof, and providing for the collection
s. Adopted by the following vote:
Ayes: Engelhard, Kelley, King, Meyer, Wynkoop (5)
Nays: None (0)
The change in zoning form R -7 to R -2 of the area in which the construction
of apartments is being contemplated, was dicussed at length. Trustee Kelley
moved, seconded by Trustee Engelhard, that an ordinance be prepared covering
the rezoning from R-7 to R-2 of the three easterly tracts described in the
petition on which a public hearing was held on June 16, 1954. Adopted by the
following vote:
Ayes: Engelhard, Kelley, King, Meyer, Wynkoop (5)

Trustee Wynkoop moved, seconded by Trustee Meyer, that the proposed re-
zoning question be referred back to the Plan Commission for further consideration
based on all facts which have come to their attention, and the Plan Commission
be requested to prepare a report for consideration at the next Board meeting
on November g, 1954. Adopted by the following vote:
Ayes: Kelley, King, Meyer, Wynkoop (4)
Nays: None (0)
Not Voting: Engelhard (1)
Trustee Engelhard moved, seconded by Trustee Kelley, that &h - ordinance
beuprepared::authorizing the conditional use for church purposes the tract of
land owned by the Zion Lutheran Church; except the east 70 feet thereof.
Carried unanimously.
Trustee Engelhard moved, seconded by Trustee Kelley, that the.Bo&rd_-..
authorize the issuance of a building permit to the Zion Lutheran Church in
consideration of the approved conditional use to be granted by ordinance.
Carried unanimously.
There being no further business to come before the meeting, on motion
duly made and seconded, the meeting was adjourned.
