AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AN AMENDED
SPECIAL USE FOR DEERFIELD COMMONS SHOPPING CENTER
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Deerfield has
heretofore held a public hearing on the application of Deerfield
Commons Shopping Center and Banbury Development Company
(collectively, the "Applicant "), to authorize an amendment to the
existing Special Use - Planned Unit Development of Deerfield
Commons Shopping Center to permit a Revised Signage Plan, all in
accordance with Article 2.0 =C,2, Article 5.01- C,2,j, Article
12.06, Article 13.11, and Article 9.02 -B,3 of the Zoning
Ordinance of the village of Deerfield, as amended; and
WHEREAS, said hearing was held pursuant to duly published
notice thereof and was in all respects held according to law; and
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Deerfield
after considering and reviewing the evidence adduced, the
submitted Revised Signage Plan, prepared by North Shore Sign and
dated January 24, 1996 attached hereto as Exhibit B, made written
findings of fact and recommended that said amendment to the
Special Use of said real estate be approved and authorized
subject to certain conditions and restrictions hereinafter set
forth.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That the findings and recommendations of the Plan
ONE: Commission as to the submitted Revised Signage
Plan are concurred in and adopted as the findings
of the President and Board of Trustees and the amendment to the
Special Use of the real estate legally described in Exhibit A
attached hereto and made a part hereof to approve the Revised
Signage Plan, including ground signs having an area of 148.42
square feet in lieu of the 120 square feet permitted, be and the
same is hereby authorized and approved.
SECTION That the approval and authorization of said
TWO: amended Special Use, including the sign
modification granted above, is hereby given
subject to the requirements that all use shall be in accordance
with the Revised Signage Plan, all exhibits, testimony,
representations submitted and made by the Applicant to the Plan
Commission and President and Board of Trustees and is also
subject to compliance by Applicant with all other applicable
provisions of the Zoning Ordinance, and all other ordinances,'
codes and regulations of the Village of Deerfield.
