ORDINANCE NO. 0 -88 -67
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE ZONING
MAP AND A SPECIAL USE FOR 700 -702 OSTERMAN AVENUE
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Deerfield has
heretofore held a public hearing on the application of Joanne Hauri
( "Applicant ") to (i) amend the Zoning Map of the Village of
Deerfield to reclassify the Subject Property legally described on
Exhibit A hereto and made a part hereof, from the C -3 Limited
Commercial, Office, Public Lands District to the C -1 Village Center
District and (ii) to permit a multiple use for the property to allow
a beauty shop, barber shop and the utilization of space within the
existing structure pursuant to the provisions of Articles 5.1 -3, 11,
13.4 -2,1 and 13.11 of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of
Deerfield; and
WHEREAS, said hearing was held pursuant to duly published notice
thereof and was in all respects held according to law; and
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Deerfield after
considering and reviewing the evidence adduced, including a Plan
(the "Final Plan ") prepared by the Applicant and attached hereto and
made a part hereof as Exhibit B made written findings of fact and
recommended that said reclassification of the Subject Property to
the C -1 Village Center District and a Special Use of said real
estate be approved and authorized as to permit a multiple use for
the property to allow a beauty shop, barber shop and the utilization
of space within the existing structure subject to certain conditions
and restrictions hereinafter set forth.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That the findings and.recommendations of the Plan
ONE: Commission both as to the reclassification of the
Subject Property in the C -1 Village Center District
and the granting of a Special Use to permit a multiple use for the
property to allow a beauty shop, barber shop and the utilization of
space within the existing structure are concurred in and adopted as
the findings of the President and Board of Trustees, and, therefore,
the reclassification of the Subject Property in the C -1 Village
Center District and the Special Use of the real estate legally
described in Exhibit A attached hereto and made a part hereof, to
permit a multiple use for the property to allow a beauty shop,
barber shop and the utilization of space within the existing
structure, be and the same are hereby authorized and approved.

SECTION That the approval and authorization of said Special

representations submitted and made by Applicant to the Plan
Commission, and President and Board of Trustees specifically
including the Final Plan attached as Exhibit B and is also subject
to compliance by Applicant with all other applicable provisions of
the Zoning Ordinance.
SECTION That all approval and authorization of said Special

this Ordinance shall be recorded in the Office of the
Recorder of Deeds of Lake County, Illinois, and all fees for such
recordation and expenses incurred therefor shall be paid by the
Applicant.
SECTION That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to publish

SECTION That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
FIVE: from and after its passage, approval and publication,
as provided by law.
