AN ORDINANCE GRANTING MODIFICATION FROM THE SIGN
PROVISIONS OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE WITH RESPECT TO THE
PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS 11 KENMORE, DEERFIELD, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, G/G CONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION has
petitioned for a modification from the strict provisions of Article
9.3, of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village Deerfield passed
April 17, 1978, as amended, to permit a non - illuminated double -faced
sign to be 10 feet wide, 8 feet high, the base of which is no more
than 4 feet above grade, and located not closer than 5 feet and not
more than 15 feet north of the property line of the Subject Property
(as hereinafter defined); and
WHEREAS, pursuant to notice duly published, as required by
statute, a public hearing on said petition was held and conducted by
the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Deerfield; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has filed with the President
and Board of Trustees its written findings of fact and recommendation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That the findings of fact and recommendation of the
ONE: Zoning Board of Appeals recommending approval of the
petition are adopted by the President and Board of
Trustees.
SECTION That the President and Board of Trustees find that
TWO: unnecessary or undesirable circumstances would result
from the carrying out of the strict letter of the
provisions of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Deerfield as
applied to Petitioner's property, which is legally described on
Exhibit A attached hereto and made a part hereof (the "Subject
Property ").
SECTION That a modification from the strict provisions of
THREE: Article 9.3 of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of
Deerfield, passed April 17, 1978, as amended, with
respect to the property hereinabove described is hereby granted so
as to permit a non- illuminated doubled -faced sign 10 feet wide,
8 feet high, the base of which is no-more than 4 feet above grade,
and located not closer than 5 feet and not more than 15 north of
the property line of the Subject Property, all in accordance with
the design, plans and specifications presented by the Petitioner
to the Zoning Board of Appeals and the President and Board of
Trustees.
ORDINANCE NO. 0 -87 -07
SECTION That the modification hereby granted is subject to
FOUR: compliance by the Petitioner with all other applicable
provisions of the Zoning Ordinance and with all other
applicable ordinances of the Village of Deerfield.
SECTION That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
SIX: from and after its passage and approval, as provided
by law.
