R E S O L U T I O N
R -81 -03
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Village of Deerfield to hold its annual
FOURTH OF JULY PARADE on Deerfield Road (which is an unnumbered State Route) and
111inois State Route 43, on Saturday, July 4, 1981, at 11:45 A.M.; and
WHEREAS, said parade will require the closing of Illinois State Route
Deerfield Road (unnumbered) from the east limits of the Village to Chestnut
Street, either partially or completely; and Illinois State Route 43 from the inter-
section of Route 43 and Osterman Avenue north to Greenwood Avenue, either partially
or completely; and
WHEREAS, the State of Illinois requires the Village to assume all respon-
sibility and liability involved in the closing of said highway:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of Deerfield that said Village assumes full responsibility for the
direction, protection and regulation of traffic during the time the detour is in
effect, and all liabilities for damages of any kind occasioned by the closing of
said State Routes, for which the State would otherwise be liable.
It is further agreed that efficient, all- weather detours will be main-
tained and conspicuously marked for the benefit of traffic deviated from the
State Routes.
ADOTPED by the Board of Trustees of the Village of.Deerfield, Illinois,
this 6th of April, 1981.
