AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN LAND
TO THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, a written Petition for Annexation under oath by American National
Bank and Trust Company of Chicago, as Trustee under Trust Agreement dated
August 22, 1978, and known as Trust No. 43716, David Veatch, Marian Veatch,
Gerald Greeter, Carol A. Greeter, Ronald R. Wedekind, Carolyn F. Wedekind and
George Kozak, as the owners of record and being a majority of the electors
residing on certain territory hereinafter described (collectively hereinafter
referred to as the "Owner ") has been filed with the Village Clerk requesting
that said territory be annexed to the Village of Deerfield pursuant to the
terms of a certain Annexation Agreement entered into by the owner and the
Village of Deerfield; and
WHEREAS, said territory is not within the corporate limits of any munici-
pality but is contiguous to the Village of Deerfield; and
WHEREFORE, due and timely notice of the proposed annexation has been given
to the West Deerfield Township Highway Commission and the Board of Town
Auditors in the manner and form required by statute.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That all the territory described on Exhibit A attached hereto and
ONE: made a part hereof and the full rights -of -way of all included
and adjoining streets and highways as shown on an accurate map of
such territory-which is attached hereto and made a part hereof as Exhibit B,
be and the same is hereby annexed to the Village of Deerfield, Lake and Cook
Counties, Illinois.
SECTION That the Village Clerk of the Village of Deerfield is hereby
TWO: directed to file in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds of Lake.
County, Illinois, being the County in which said annexed terri-
tory is situated, a copy of this Ordinance, together with an accurate map of
the territory hereby annexed.
SECTION That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
THREE: after its passage and approval, and when a copy thereof with an
accurate map is recorded in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds,
Lake County, Illinois, thereupon said territory shall be subject to the juris-
diction and ordinances of the Village of Deerfield, Illinois.
