RESOLUTION NO. R -77- 3 A RESOLUTION OBJECTING TO THE REQUEST FOR REZONING OF THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF SANDERS AND LAKE -COOK ROAD WHEREAS, CACCIATORI DEVELOPERS has petitioned the County of Cook for the rezoning to C -4, General Commercial, of certain premises located at the southeast corner of Sanders and Lake -Cook Road, to permit the construc- tion and operation of an automobile service station and accompanying retail uses; and WHEREAS, the Cook County Zoning Board of Appeals conducted a public hearing on said application; and WHEREAS, the Subject Property lies within one and one -half miles of the corporate limits of the Village of Deerfield; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield are of the opinion that the granting of said application would be contrary to the best interest of the Village of Deerfield and of the community'generally, for the following reasons: 1. That adequate provision has not been made for sanitary sewage disposal and storm water retention. 2. That the use of the Subject Property for purposes proposed would materially increase traffic congestion and create un- safe traffic conditions. 3. The proposed rezoning is contrary to the Cook County Com- prehensive Plan which has classified the Subject Property in the R -4 Single Family Zoning District. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION That the Village of Deerfield, pursuant to Chapter 34, ONE: Section 3158, Illinois Revised Statutes, 1975, hereby protests and objects to the granting of the application of Cacciatori Developers for the rezoning therein described. SECTION That the Village'Clerk is, hereby directed to forward TWO: a certified copy of this Resolution to the Cook County Zoning Board of Appeals, the County Board of Commis- sioners of Cook County and the County Clerk of Cook County.
