AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A SPECIAL USE FOR A SYNAGOGUE WITH
ACCESSORY USES AS A RELIGIOUS SCHOOL AND PUBLIC RECREATIONAL,
CULTURAL AND EDUCATIONAL FACILITY AT THE WILMOT ADMINISTRATION BUILDING
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Deerfield has heretofore
held a public hearing on the application of the BOARD OF EDUCATION OF
SCHOOL DISTRICT 109 to authorize the use and occupancy of the Wilmot
Administration Building, Deerfield, Illinois, and hereinafter described,
for a synagogue with accessory uses as a religious school and public
recreational, cultural and educational facility under and pursuant to the
provisions of Articles 7.2, 7.6 -2 and 13.11 of the Zoning Ordinance of the
Village of Deerfield; and
WHEREAS, said hearing was held pursuant to duly published notice
thereof and was in all respects held according to law; and
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Deerfield, after
considering the evidence adduced, made written findings of fact and
recommended that said special use of said real estate be approved and
authorized subject to certain conditions and restrictions hereinafter set
forth.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That the findings and recommendations of the Plan COm-
ONE: mission are concurred in and adopted as the findings of
the President and Board of Trustees and the special use of
the real estate legally described below to include a synagogue with
accessory uses as a religious school and public recreational, cultural and
educational facility, be and the same is hereby authorized and approved.
The North 180 feet of the West 255 feet of the
Northwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of
Section 32, Township 43 North, Range 12 East of the
Third Principal Meridian in Lake County, Illinois
SECTION That the approval and authorization of said special use
TWO: hereby given is subject to the requirements that all use,
construction and development shall be in accordance with
all plans and representations submitted and made by Applicant to the Plan
Commission and President and Board of Trustees, is subject to compliance by
Applicant with all other applicable provisions of the Zoning Ordinance and
all other applicable ordinances of the Village of Deerfield, except that
the off - street parking requirements providing for a minimum of 102 parking
spaces be modified pursuant to Article 7.6 -2 of the Zoning Ordinance to
permit 76 parking spaces. Said approval and authorization is further
subject to the requirement that the subject premises will not be used for
Yom Kippur and Rosh Hashana services by the main body of the congregation
SECTION That the approval and authorization of said special use
THREE: hereby given is subject to the requirement that this
Ordinance shall be recorded in the Office of the Recorder
of Deeds of Lake County, Illinois, and all fees and such recordation and
expenses incurred therefor shall be paid by the Applicant.
SECTION That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to publish
FOUR: this ordinance in pamphlet form.
SECTION That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
FIVE: from and after its passage, approval and publication, as
provided by law.
