AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE 16
OF CHAPTER 22 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE
OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE
OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That Section 22 -129 of Chapter 22 of the Municipal Code
ONE: of Deerfield of 1975, as amended, entitled "Definitions ",
be and the same is hereby further amended by adding thereto
subsection (a)(5):
"(a)(5) Lot No. 5 located on the south side of Deerfield Road and
west of the right of way of the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul & Pacific
Railroad."
SECTION That Chapter 22 of the Municipal Code of Deerfield of 1975,
TWO: as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended by
adding thereto the following Section 22.129A-- "Parking
Fees ":
(a) No vehicle may be parked in either Lot 3-or Lot 5 without
paying the parking fees established therefor. The parking fee
for parking in either Lot 3 or Lot 5 shall be $ 0.25 for
each 24 hour period.
(b) In addition to those penalty provisions prescribed in
Section 22 -158 of this Article, any person violating any pro-
visions of this Section may have his vehicle towed from either
Lot 3 or Lot 5, impounded by the Village and shall thereafter
be assessed an impounding charge of $ 15.00 and a storage cost
of $5.00 per day or fraction thereof for each day the vehicle
is impounded."
(c) All fees and charges imposed by Subsection (b) shall be paid
to the Village Treasurer and, upon presentation of a proper re-
ceipt from the Village Treasurer, the person in charge of the
Village's auto pound shall release the vehicle in accordance with
the provisions of this Section.
SECTION That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to publish this
THREE: ordinance in pamphlet form.
SECTION That any ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
FOUR: herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby
repealed.
SECTION That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
FIVE: from and after its passage, approval and publication as
provided by law.
