RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The Village of Deerfield purchases all of its municipal
water supply from the City of Highland Park; and
WHEREAS, the City of Highland Park produces this water from Lake
Michigan at their water treatment plant; and
WHEREAS, there is a requirement that an allocation for this water be
obtained from the State of Illinois by and through the Department of Trans-
portation, Division of Water Resources; and
WHEREAS, the City of Highland Park is appearing at hearings called
to establish the Water Allocation for their community and has agreed to
appear on behalf of the Village of Deerfield as well:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND
BOARD OF TRUSTEES of the Village of Deerfield, Lake and Cook Counties,
Illinois, that the City of Highland Park is hereby designated as its repre-
sentative and agent who will be' responsible -to file all documents, complete
all applications, answer all inquiries; present all testimony and represent
all other interests of the Village of Deerfield, for the purposes. of applying
for and obtaining a Water Withdrawal Permit for water from Lake Michigan.

The above applicant hereby designates the CITY OF HIGHLAND PARK,
whose address is 1707 St. Johns Avenue, Highland Park, Illinois, 60035
as its designated representative and agent who will be responsible to
file all documents, complete all applications, answer all inquiries, present
all testimony and represent all other interests of the Village of Deerfield,
for the purposes of applying for and obtaining a water withdrawal permit
for water from Lake Michigan.
I understand that all further correspondence will- be directed to the above
de signated-party'only� and agree hereby ` to'be -irrevocably'bo'und by its
actions in these matters until such time as a new designation of respres-ent-
atives is received by the State of Illinois, Department of Transportation,
Division of Water Resources.
