O-75-18ORDINANCE NO. 0-75718 AN ORDINANCE CANVASSING THE RESULTS OF A REGULAR ELECTION HELD APRIL 15; 1975 WHEREAS, on the 15th day of April, 1975, a regular election was held in and for the Village of Deerfield, Lake and Cook Counties, Illinois, for the purpose of filling the following offices, to -wit: three (3) Village Trustees for full four -year terms, three (3) Library Directors for full six -year terms and two (2) Library Directors to serve until April 19, 1977, and to consider the proposition "Shall the Village of Deerfield, Illinois, become a Home Rule unit pursuant to Article VII, Section 6(a) of the Constitution of the State of Illinois ? "; and WHEREAS, said election was regularly called and held and notice of said election was given as required by law, by publication of said notice of said election in the Deerfield Life, being a newspaper published in and having a general circulation in said Village, and that the judges of said election were duly qualified and before entering upon their duties were duly com- missioned as required by law, and that the returns of said election have been filed with the Clerk of the Village of Deerfield, and the Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield have examined and canvassed the returns of said election and are familiar therewith. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION That this Board of Trustees does find that the regular ONE: election held on the 15th day of April, 1975, was duly called and held in all respects as provided by law, and as provided by the ordinance calling said election; that the judges of said election were duly qualified and commissioned and did conduct said election as required by law; that the returns of said election have been filed with the Village Clerk of the Village of Deerfield and are now before this Board of Trustees and have been examined by this Board of Trustees.
