AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION FROM
THE PROVISIONS OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE WITH
RESPECT TO THE PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS
506 LONGFELLOW, DEERFIELD
WHEREAS, MR. AND MRS. LUCIANO MAZZOLINI have petitioned for a
variation from the strict provisions of Section XVIII,E of the Zoning
Ordinance of the Village of Deerfield, passed May 4, 1953, as amended, to
permit the structural alteration of an existing non - conforming building
resulting in a total side yard of 7 feet, 11 1/8 inches in lieu of the
required 13 feet and minimum side yard of 3 feet, 1 1/2 inches in lieu
of the required 5 feet; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to notice duly published as required by statute,
a public hearing on said petition was held and conducted by the Zoning
Board of Appeals of the Village of Deerfield; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has filed with the President
and Board of Trustees its written findings of fact and recommendations;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That the findings of fact and recommendations of the
ONE: Zoning Board of Appeals are hereby concurred in and
adopted as the findings of fact of the President and
Board of Trustees.
SECTION That there are practical difficulties and particular
TWO: hardships in the way of carrying out the strict letter
of the provisions of the Zoning Ordinance of the.Village
of Deerfield as applied to petitioners' property which is legally described
as follows:
The West half of Lot 22 in Goldman's North Shore Golf Links
Subdivision in the North half of the Northwest Quarter of
Section 33, Township 43 North,Range 12, East of the Third
Principal Meridian, in Lake County, Illinois
SECTION That a variation from the strict provisions of
THREE: Section XVIII,E of the Zoning Ordinance of the
Village of Deerfield, passed May 4, 1953, as amended
with respect to the property hereinabove described, is hereby granted so
as to authorize the structural alteration of an existing non - conforming
use thereby resulting in a 7 foot, 11 1/8 inch total side yard in lieu
of the required 13 feet and a minimum 3 foot, 1 1/2 inch side yard in lieu
of the required 5 feet, all in accordance with the recommendations of the
Zoning Board of Appeals.

SECTION That the variation hereby granted is subject to
FOUR: compliance by the petitioners with all other appli-
cable provisions of the Zoning Ordinance and with all
other applicable ordinances of the'Village.
SECTION That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
FIVE: effect from and after its passage and approval, as
provided by law.
