RESOLUTION NO. R -72- 14
RESOLUTION OF CIVIL RIGHTS AND
OPEN RECORDS COMPLIANCES
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION That the Village of Deerfield will comply with
ONE: Title VI of the United States Civil Rights Act
of 1964 (P.L.88 -352) as the same is now or hereinafter may be amended
and that the Village of Deerfield will not discriminate against any
employee or applicant for employment because of race, creed, color,
age, sex, or national origin. The Grantee will take affirmative
action to ensure that applicants are employed, and that employees are
treated during employment, without regard to their race, creed, color,
age, sex, or national origin. Such action shall include, but not
be limited to, the following: employment, upgrading, demotion, or
transfer, recruitment or recruitment advertising; layoff or termination;
rates of pay or other forms of compensation; and selection for
training, including apprenticeship.
SECTION That the Village of Deerfield will comply with the
TWO: provisions of Article VII Section 1(c) of the 1970
Illinois Constitution as well as the provisions of the State Records Act
(SHA Ch. 116, Sections 43.4 through 43.28), provided however that in the
event a longer period of retention or availability is required by the
terms of any subsequent agreement between the Village of Deerfield and
the State of Illinois such longer period shall apply.
SECTION That this Resolution shall be in full force and
