RESOLUTION NO. R-19-16
A RESOLUTION GRANTING AN EXTENSION FOR
THE SUBMISSION OF THE FINAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR
THE ZION WOODS PLANNED RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT
(10 Deerfield Road)
WHEREAS, on August 20, 2018, the Village Board adopted Report Number 18-86,
granting approval to the Zion Lutheran Church, Brinshore Development, and the Housing
Opportunity Development Corporation (collectively, "Petitioner's of a preliminary planned
residential development plan for the property commonly known as 10 Deerfield Road,
Deerfield, Illinois and legally described on Exhibit A ("Subject Property', for the
construction of a residential workforce housing development consisting of two, two-story
buildings containing a total of 25 rental apartment units ("Proposed Development'; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 12.09-F.1 of the Deerfield Zoning Ordinance 1978,
as amended ("Zoning Ordinance', a final development plan for a proposed planned unit
development must be submitted to the Plan Commission by the applicant not later than one
year after approval of the preliminary development plan, provided, however, that additional
time may be authorized by resolution of the Village Board; and
WHEREAS, the Petitioner has submitted a request to extend the deadline to submit
the final development plan for the Proposed Development to the Plan Commission to
February 20, 2021 ("Extension Request'; and
WHEREAS, the Village Board has determined that it will serve and be in the best
interests of the Village to grant the Extension Request;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE BOARD OF
DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, as follows:
SECTION ONE: RECITALS. The foregoing recitals are incorporated into, and
made a part of, this Resolution as the findings of the Village Board.
SECTION TWO: APPROVAL OF EXTENSION REQUEST. Pursuant to
Section 12.09-F.1 of the Zoning Ordinance and the home rule authority of the Village, the
Village Board hereby approves the Extension Request and extends the deadline for the
submission of the final development plan for the Proposed Development to the Plan
Commission through and including February 20, 2021,
SECTION THREE: EFFECTIVE DATE. That this Resolution shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval as provided by law.
