A RESOLUTION TO RECOMMEND
A REBATE OF SURPLUS FUNDS
IN SPECIAL ASSESSMENT NO, 99
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF LOCAL IMPROVEMENTS OF THE
VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS:
SECTION That this Board finds that in the special
ONE: assessment to pay the cost of sidewalk improvements
along Wilmot Road, designated as Deerfield Special
Assessment No. 99, there has been a final settlement with the contractor for
such improvements and full payment has been made of all bonds and vouchers
Issued on account of such Improvements, leaving a surplus amount, which is
available for reimbursement to the public benefit fund, in accordance with
Schedule "A" attached.
SECTION That this Board declares, and recommends that the
TWO: Board of Trustees of this Village pass an Ordinance
setting forth the finding in SECTION ONE hereof
directing reimbursement of the public benefit fund.
SECTION That this Board shall keep and exhibit publicly in

A RESOLUTION OBJECTING TO THE REZONING REQUEST
FOR THE SOUTHEAST*CORNER'OF SAUNDERS AND'DEERFIELD ROADS
WHEREAS, the WHEELING TRUST AND SAVINGS BANK, as Trustee
under Trust Number 763, has petitioned the County of Lake for the
rezoning of certain premises located at the Southeast corner of
the intersection of Saunders and Deerfield Roads from the
SR- Suburban Residential District to the CB- Community Business
District; and
WHEREAS, the Lake County Zoning Board of Appeals has scheduled
a public hearing on said application; and
WHEREAS, the Subject Property lies within one - and - one-half
miles of the corporate limits of the Village of Deerfield; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Deerfield are of the opinion that the granting of said application
would be contrary to the best interest of the Village of Deerfield
and of the community, generally, for the following reasons:
1) That the Subject Property is located in the midst
of a substantial residentially -zoned and used area
with which the requested rezoning is totally out
of character and incompatible.
2) That the rezoning of the Subject Property to the
CB- Community Business District would represent an
intrusion into a residential area and constitute
spot zoning, that the use of the Subject Property
for purposes permitted under the requested zoning
district would increase traffic congestion and
create unsafe traffic conditions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS,
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That the Village of Deerfield, pursuant to Chapter 34,
ONE: Section 3158, Illinois Revised Statutes 1970, hereby
protests and objects to the granting of the application of the
Wheeling Trust and Savings Bank, as Trustee under Trust Number 763,
for the rezoning of the premises therein described.
SECTION That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to forward
TWO: a certified copy of this Resolution to the Lake County

Zoning Board of Appeals, the Board of Supervisors of Lake County
and the County Clerk of Lake County.

The enclosed certified' copy of the Resolution passed
by the Board of Trustees of the_Village of Deerfield objecting
to the rezoning request for property at the southeast corner of
Saunders and Deerfield Roads, West Deerfield Township, is filed
with you pursuant to Chapter 34, Section 3153., Illinois Revised
Statutes 1970, to require a favorable vote of-three-fourths of
all members of the Board of Supervisors to overrule the Village's
Dobjection.
The Lake County.Board o.f Zoning Appeals will hold a public
hearing on the rezoning request in Deerfield on January 18, 1972,
and a copy of the Resolution will be given to the Zoning Board at
that time.
