ORDINANCE NO. 0-69-8.

AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CALLING
OF A REGULAR VILLAGE ELECTION, PUBLISHING
OF NOTICE OF ELECTION, ESTABLISHING PRE-
CINCTS, DESIGNATING POLLING PLACES, AND
APPOINTING JUDGES OF ELECTION, TO BE HELD
ON APRIL 15, 1969, IN THE VILLAGE OF DEER -
FIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, it is provided by law that a regular election shall
be held in the Village of Deerfield on,the 15th day of April,
1969, for the filling of the following offices, to -wit: Village
President, Village Clerk, three (3) Village Trustees for full
four -year terms, three (3) Library Directors for full six -year
terms, and two (2) Library Directors to serve until April 17,
1973.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Deerfield, Lake and Cook Counties, Illi-
nois, as follows:
Section That a regular election is hereby called to be held
One: in and for the Village of Deerfield, on Tuesday,
April 15, 1969, between the hours of 6:00 A.M. and
6:00 P.M. of said day for the purpose of electing a Village President,
a Village Clerk, three (3) Village Trustees for full four -year terms,
three (3) Library Directors for full six -year terms, and two (2)
Library Directors to serve until April 17, 1973.
Section That notice of said election shall be published in
Two: the DEERFIELD REVIEW, a newspaper published in and
having a general circulation in said Village; said
publication to be not more than thirty (30) days nor less than fifteen
(15) days prior to the date of said election, and that said notice
shall be in substantially the following form:

NOTICE OF ELECTION
Public Notice is hereby given that on April 15, 1969, a
regular Village election will be held in the Village of
Deerfield, Lake and Cook Counties, Illinois, for the purpose
of electing a Village President, a Village Clerk, three (3)
Village Trustees for full four -year terms, three (3) Library
Directors for full six -year terms, and two (2) Library
Directors to serve until April 17, 1973.
The polling places and precincts for such election shall
be as follows:
Precinct No. 1 shall consist of that portion of
the Village lying South of the center line of Deer-
field Road, East of the center line of Wilmot Road,
North of the center line of Hackberry Road, and West
of the West Fork of the North Branch of the Chicago
River (West drainage ditch).
Polling Place: Wilmot School
Wilmot and Deerfield Roads
Deerfield, Illinois
Precinct No. 2 shall consist of that portion of
the Village lying South of the center line of Deerfield
Road, West of the center line of Wilmot Road; also that
portion of the Village lying East of the center line of
Wilmot Road, South of the center line of Hackberry Road,
and West of the West Fork of the North Branch of the
Chicago River (West drainage ditch).
Polling Place: South Park School
Hackberry Road
Deerfield, Illinois
Precinct No. 3 shall consist of that portion of the
Village lying South of the center line of Deerfield
Road, East of the West Fork of the North Branch of
the Chicago River (West drainage ditch), and West of
the center line of Waukegan Road.

Polling Place: Alan B. Shepard Junior High School
Franken and Grove Streets
Deerfield, Illinois
Precinct No. 4 shall consist of that portion of the
Village lying South of the center line of Deerfield
Road and East of the center line of Waukegan Road.
Polling Place: Deerfield Grammar School
517 Deerfield Road
Deerfield, Illinois
Precinct No. 5 shall consist of that portion of the
Village` lying North of the center line of Deerfield
Road, East of the Chicago, Milwaukee; St. Paul &
Pacific Railroad right -of- way,and West of the center
line of Warrington Road, excepting therefrom the
Walden School site on the West side of Warrington
Road
Polling Place: Deerfield Village Hall
850 Waukegan Road
Deerfield, Illinois
Precinct No. 6 shall consist of that portion of the
Village lying North of the center line of Deerfield
Road, East of the center line of Warrington Road,
and in addition thereto, the Walden School site on the
West side of Warrington Road.
Polling Place: Walden School
Essex Court
Deerfield, Illinois
Precinct No. 7 shall consist of that portion of the
Village lying North of the center line of Deerfield
Road, West of the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul &
Pacific Railroad right -of -way, and East of a line
described as follows: Commencing at the intersection
of Stratford Road and North Avenue, thence Southerly
along the center line of Stratford Road to the center
line of the West Fork of the North Branch of the Chicago
River (West drainage ditch), thence continuing South
along the center line of said West Fork to its inter-
section with Deerfield Road.

Polling Place: Maplewood School
Clay and Alden Courts
Deerfield, Illinois
Precinct No. 8 shall consist of that portion of the
Village lying North of the center line of Deerfield
Road, West of a line described as follows: Commencing
at the intersection of Stratford Road and North Avenue,
thence Southerly along the center line of Stratford
Road to the center line of the West Fork of the North
Branch of the Chicago River (West drainage ditch),
thence continuing South along the center line of
said West Fork to its intersection with Deerfield
Road.
Polling Place: Woodland Park School
1330 Crabtree Lane
Deerfield, Illinois
The polls for said election will.be opened at 6:00 A.M. and
will be closed at 6:00 P.M., C.S.T. on the date of said
election. Voters must vote at the polling place designated
for the election precinct in which they reside.
Published by order of the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of Deerfield, Lake and Cook Counties, Illinois.

Section That for said election the Village of Deerfield
Three: shall be divided into eight (8) election precincts,
the boundaries thereof and the polling places therefor
being as hereinabove set forth in Section Two of this Ordinance.
Section That the ballot to be used in such election shall be
Four: in the form prescribed by statute. It shall be the
duty of the Village Clerk to see to the preparation of
sufficient ballots for the election, and to cause a sample of such
ballot to be published once in the DEERFIELD REVIEW, the same being
a newspaper published and of general circulation in said Village,
not less than five (5) days prior to the date set for said election,
and to procure and prepare all necessary election material for
holding and conducting said election under the laws of the State
of Illinois.
Section That for said election the following persons are
Five: hereby appointed to serve as judges of said election
at the polling places indicated, and such persons
so appointed shall qualify and serve as provided by the laws of
the State of Illinois thereunto enabling:
