AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION FROM
THE PROVISIONS OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE
WITH RESPECT TO THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT
745 DEERFIELD ROAD, DEERFIELD, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, DEERFIELD SAVINGS & LOAN ASSOCIATION, has
petitioned for a variation from the strict provisions of the
Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Deerfield, passed May 4,
1953, as amended; to -wit: Section V -18, Section XVII- B -1 -b,
and Section XVII- B -1 -f; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to notice duly published as required
by statute, a public hearing on said petition was held and
conducted by the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of
Deerfield; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has filed with the
President and Board of Trustees its written findings of fact
and recommendations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK
COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That the findings of fact of the Zoning Board
ONE: of Appeals are hereby adopted as the findings
of fact of the President and Board of Trustees.

SECTION That there are practical difficulties and parti-
TWO: cular hardship in the way of carrying out the
strict letter of the provisions of the Zoning
Ordinance of the Village of Deerfield as applied to Petitioner's
property which is legally described as follows:
Lots 1, 2and 3 in Bleimehl's Subdivision of parts
of Sections 32 and 33, Township 43 North, Range 12,
East of the Third Principal Meridian, according to
the plat thereof, recorded October 7, 1909, in Book
H of Plats, page 45, as Document No. 124960, in Lake
County, Illinois.
SECTION That a variation from the strict provisions of
THREE: Section V -18, Section XVII -B -1 -b and Section
XVII -B -1 -f of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village
of Deerfield, passed May 4, 1953, as amended, with respect to the
property hereinabove described, is hereby granted so as to permit

the erection and maintenance of a sign of the type and style
depicted on the attached drawing and as further represented by
Petitioner to the Zoning Board of Appeals, at a distance of not
less than 34 feet from the center line of Waukegan Road and
not less than 1 foot from the easterly line of said real
estate, provided that the lowest part of the face of the
sign shall be not less than 12 feet above the grade of the
adjoining land.
SECTION That the variation hereby granted is subject to
FOUR: compliance by Petitioner with all other appli-
cable ordinances of the Village.
SECTION That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
FIVE: effect from and after its passage and approval,
as provided bylaw.
