An Ordinance amending Section 8.1002
of the Municipal Code of Deerfield of
1963, relating to meetings of the Board
of Zoning Appeals.
BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Deerfield, Lake and Cook Counties, Illinois, that:
Section 8.1002 of the Municipal Code of Deerfield of 1963 be
and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
118.1002 Meetings.) All meetings at which legal action is
taken by the-zoning board of appeals shall be open to the public,
including'all hearings at which evidence is heard. Meetings.shal -1
be helad at the call of the chairman and at suchcother times as
the board may determine. 'Meetings.may be called at.the request
of three members of the board. The board shall keep minutes of
its proceedings showing the vote of each member upon every question
decided by it, or if any member is absent or fails to vote,i i:ridi•
cati•ng'such fact. Statement of the facts found by the board
shall be included in the minutes of each case heard or considered
by it. The reason for recommending or denying an exception as
herein provided shall also appear in the minutes. In every
instance, a statement of the facts upon which such recommendations
are based shall appear in the minutes.
"The board of zoning appeals shall adopt its own rules of
procedure, a copy of which and all amendments thereto shall be
filed in the office of the village clerk."
